He would be a terribel match up for ward ... I think a guy like Kessler can beat him but guys like Bute and Ward would be a bad match up for him. I never seen the WBO champion fight but based on his record he seems like a boxer. Both the WBO and IBF champion would be a good match up for Ward. Ward is a good fighter and showed many dimensions tonight but Froch is a different kind of evil ... his chin is sold, he's big, and he's relentless. He will press forward and take many fighters heart away -
Carl's chin will be immaterial as Andre won't be looking for a knockout. He's also elusive (and conditioned) enough to neutralize the pressure for twelve rounds.
Were is Dirrell from again??? Ward is a good fighter dude, just because Dirrell is from your backyard you dont have to hate on Ward. And no Froch isnt a different kind of evil he is a little slower stronger version of Miranda. And minus another Taylor meltdown no one would be talking about him right now.
Right. I think it's the other way around. Guys like Ward and Dirrell are poor matches for Froch. Not vice versa. Bute is too if the Andrade performance was just a misnomer. Froch still has an iron will and power which means he'll be in any fight regardless of the opponent.
Dirrell is from Flint and i'm from Grand Rapids ... i'm not going to say that Dirrell will win either ... Froch is a different evil and these guys aren't going to be able to pick this guy apart. He's not going to stand there and take punches ... he's going to move ... wear them down with pressure and explode.
Froch's chin is on another level ... its not going to be easy to discourage him ... no matter what you hit him with he's going to come through and fight hard.
Jumping on the Froch bandwagon I see. Hmmm, I'm pretty sure you were one of those who were killing him in the forums before the Taylor fight.
I'm not on the Froch bandwagon ... he's not my type of fighter _ I still think he's shitty but as far as a match up between he and Ward - I don't think Ward wants any parts of him.
Pretty sure I saw him get knocked down by Jermain Taylor. Obviously guys like Froch and/or Andrade are tough nuts for anyone to crack. That said they arebeatable. In a sense that's what makes 168 an outstanding division. Tons of beatable fighters but amazingly gifted athletes all so close in the skills department battling it out for supremacy.
By a punch he didn't see and i'm not backing him up but even the most solid chins get rocked every now and again ... its always the punches you don't see !! "I knocked him out ... what more do you want?"
I find his style offends me, but you have to admire Froch for his grit and determination. He comes to fight all 12 rounds. He doesn't do it very well, but he does it. It seems that he will get in the ring with anybody, any place, unlike that ***** Chad Dawson. There is no doubt in my mind he would face either of the Klitschko brothers if the fight was made.
Froch's performance against Taylor should prove that neither fighter is elite, well in Taylor 's case not elite for more than 6 rounds.
who has chad dawson not fought/ducked that makes you think he's a *****. he's called out every big name in the division... not to mention he's whooped on every guy he's fought. and fighting the klitschkos? jesus christ dude GTFO. :deal
I don't care if Froch beat the hell out of Taylor for 12 straight ... he showed a good beard and thats hard to come by ... he might not be that fast but he's big, long arms, and has power.
