Hey I'm not taking anything away from Froch he's warrior with an iron will. He's also one of my favorite fighters in the sport. I just think a guy like Ward will pose problems for him more than Taylor did. That's why I said it was a pick em fight.
Dawson wanted to fight Kessler but his team said Dawson was too big and they didn't want the fight even at a catch weight. I think Dawson will be moving down to 168 sooner than later then we might see this match up.:good
Taylor too me is a dumb fighter. Ward is much smarter and proved it in his fight with Miranda by smothering his power and tieing him up.

BUT while I admit to being sour for pulling for Pantera, please tell me you thought a LOT of that holding (esp. between rounds 8-10, I think) was not way overboard. There was one WHOLE round where Ward had Miranda in some kind of arm bars and grindin' his forehead into Miranda's face the whole time. Props I guess to Ward for holding Miranda's arms like shackles, then letting go lightning fast to flop a hook over the top and tie Miranda back down before he could even move. Like I said, I'm just mad and hatin'.. Miranda SHOULD have known a way out of all that Bull ****. Bottom line.
i think different over it like dirrell stevens. only reason i think there was holding going on ward was tentative of headbutts like the one in thefirst round and miranda record of head butts. that and i think he was being a bully to miranda pushing miranda back/against the ropes. i for one thought it was good fight for someone thats 18-0 and everyone claims needed to step up. i think everyone is upset due to ward a supermiddle weight didnt stop him where two middle weights did in pavlik and abraham.
Why do people try to discredit Froch's win over Taylor by acting like Taylor fell down in the 12th because he was tired form waling around the ring for 30 mins? He got KOed because Froch was putting him under pressure with some hard shots and relentless pace. Taylor was outboxing him and ahead on points but the name of the game is to KO the other guy out. Did you all forget that these guys go in to the ring to KO the other guy and the score card is just reasonable way to decide a winner if a KO can not be achieved in 12 rounds.
Dawson doesn't have much of a fan base, and that is the real obstacle to him getting the big fights. Moving up or down the weight divisions isn't gonna change anything. If Kessler has any sense he will be going after Froch who happens to be the flavor of the month.
Because Froch admitted his slow start was due to Taylor's speed and he had to wait for him to tire some? :think
I wouldn't get down on Miranda. Kelly still beat him first and stopped him.:good I'm hoping that Kelly-Abraham will be made before the end of the year so we can finally put an end to the debate. With that said I agree Ward did too much holding at times but who knows it was his first big fight and it could have been nerves or the fact he respected Miranda's power. I've seen Ward fight atleast 4 times and I've never seen him hold that much as he did lat night.
He didn`t duck Miranda, his team turned down an offer from Miranda that wasn`t a tomato can worthy! When team Palle offered Miranda a new deal, the kitten ran away from Kessler!
