No, you're never too old to start boxing. Stay motivated and follow your dreams, but keep realistic at all times and listen to the advice of your superiors.:thumbsup
You beat me to it. Love the old avatar btw, it suits you real well. Ps. I feel like posting a video of me punching a 20 pound heavybag in my living room. Without gloves, throwing 28 powerpunches in a row.
I have a couple of kids who can't get it going until the end of the second or third rounds. They are excellent boxers and can be very dangerous. They usually pull it out and win but how do you get them to do it in the 1st?
When you find out let me know. I give away the first round everytime. atsch I come back to the corner and my coach is screaming mad.
Let them have a good warm-up before the fight, maybe they're starting the fight a bit cold. Fire them up a little and teach them to work the jab in the first, that's good for finding the right distance..even if they can't understand that theory yet, if they work the jab in the first they'll automaticly find the right distance between them and the opponent.
I like picking my nose between rounds, then attach the booger to my glove and try to tag my opponent with it. Is that normal?
Some people never boxed, yet they have boxing knowledge from here to Afghanistan. I have the knowledge AND I box. So ask a question, question one of my answers, or get out.:yep
