Yes. And I thought at 114 it would pay me great dividends since those gals are all midgets, but NO! Stupid electronic scoring, the girl I fought just ran from me the whole time. As soon as I threw my jab out there she'd throw a 1-2 and run away. :fire I'll have video of it soon.
I was at 119 this last year. But all my fights were with girls over 125. But now I'm down to 114. My record now is 7-4
Why the mad face? At least you have more wins than losses..:yep I think 114 is gonna suit you well if you feel just as healty as you did at 119. You seem to have decent power in your punches so maybe if you get opponents that are the same weight as yourself, you might be able to dominate the fights more, and maybe even score some KO's.
I would prefer to have less losses, but hey. The good thing is that 90% of my match bouts are against girls that walk around at 128-130 so when I get in these tournaments with these gals that weigh 113 their punches don't feel like much. :!: (and they are reeeealy short)
Good, so basically all you need to do now is train your jab and protecting your body.:thumbsup I've got the same luxury, I'm 6'1 and weigh around 153 lbs. at the moment, I can easily make 152 where I'll be able to fight much shorter guys.(because I'm tall and lanky kind of like a white Tommy Hearns.:yep) If you're smart enough to make it your advantage in the ring, you can benefit alot from it. I wanna get into amateur fights later this year, I wanna be perfectly prepared though because I have serious issues when it comes to losing.
Yes, but when you break Kolya's nose showing him your new and improved jab, you'll feel better about yourself.
Don't ever forget the most important punch in the sport of boxing ever again.:nono Make it a personal mission to improve your jab, it will benefit you alot. Sometimes I spend an hour just practicing my jab.
Don't worry, like I said before, the sport will become a second nature to you as time progresses. At least you won your fight and can still see points you need improving on.
