I know. I am guessing that is who he was talking about when he said to Resto that he can get a world class boxer down there to train. Walking round the weigh in getting treated like a celebrity and getting all that cash for interviews with them chains and diamonds. Its sickening.

He should not be allowed to get near boxers of that level nvm everyone else.

I just finished watching the docu and its very powerfull stuff, TBH though my first impression is that I'm not that eager to give Resto the role of "victim" in all this. He's consistantly lied over the events, he lied during the making of the documentary, who's to say his latest version is any more truthful?

I dont know who did it, but Panama comes across as a slimeball
Resto on the other hand...i cant tell...i feel sorry for him

and why the hell did they deny full investigation, could it be possible that commission assholes of that time had bets, this might be taking it little far.....but wtf man. this whole story is just really sad.

Seem's like Collins father had a hold over his son just like Lewis had a hold over Resto.

Both Collins father and Lewis were all about the money.

Collins obviously could'nt live without boxing and wanted the glory but his father had power over him and forced him not to fight on.

Collins could'nt handle this so he killed himself.

Collins father and Lewis are both scum.

Both of them brain washed their fighter's.

I got the impression that Resto felt more sorry for himself tbh.

Also, just before Resto went to prison he seemed like an arrogant ******* who lacked empathy and did'nt give a **** tbh.

I was also pissed off to see that **** Arum.

Oh how little did he know that Margarito would end up in a similar position a few months later.

Yet the mother ****er goes on to defend Margarito.

    Sounds like an S&M porno

Edit: I'm watching it right now and regret making that crack. This is sickening stuff.
Panama Lewis is a ****, his ban should have precluded him from ever entering a gymnasium, being present at a conference, weigh in, fight, everything. Resto...I think he genuiney feels very very bad, I think he feels a coward-as well he should you might say but it did take guts to go down to see Collins' family. I got the impression he was frightened of Lewis. As for Collins' Snr, well I think he was right to sue the arse off everybody, the gloving up should have been witnessed, the gloves should have been checked when Resto entered the ring etc. etc. etc. Bob Arum's a **** for calling it pathetic. There's plenty of blame to go around, incompetence is almost as bad as deliberate tampering when you're responsible for someone's safety.
Lewis is the real **** of the story, at least Resto genuinely feels bad, Lewis doesn't feel a mote of guilt.

I genuinely hope that all the victims of this deplorable story can get something positive from Resto finally telling the truth about what happened, himself included.

Thats how he came across to me, it seemed he was driven by wanting forgiveness as much as being truly sorry about about what he'd done.

Personally, I think Resto was hugely naive and the reality of what he did to Collins hit him during his stint in prison. It's evident that he is clearly remorseful and Panama Lewis isn't.

Panama Lewis was a real piece of **** and just denied everything but Resto seemed to twig very early on that his best bet was to blame his trainers, specifically Lewis. I'm not sure his comments about the bottle or the hand wraps can nessarcerily be taken at face value because of this?

The hand wraps esp. didn't ring true, I can't believe that having had complaints in the ring and gone back to the drassing room to sieze the gloves nobody checked the wraps as well?

it's an interesting film but pretty inconclusive I thought. The fact that the filmaker was prepared to pay Lewis says to me he's probably paid Resto too...Resto looked a shell of a man, so unintelligent and lost it's not hard to imagine him saying and doing whatever they wanted him to in exchange for hard cash. To be honest the filmmakers shadow looms like a puppeteer throughout, pushing and pulling a passive Resto to act out scenes that fit neatly into his crime/punishment/atonement storyboard.
