    Minowa.

But yeah Cheals got some balls. Their are quite a few other fighters who do as well. especially the old school guys, like the vale tudo fighters, or any of the "smaller" guys who competed in open weight tournaments.

I loved Sonnen and thought his style was going to be troublesome for Silva. Then I hated him because he went overboard but then I realised it was all for fun and I'm back to enjoying the show. He is incredibly entertaining.

Yes, I would fight Silva and Jones but alot of people wouldn't if they could lie their way out of the fight and try to secure a decent payday against a weaker opponent, suffer less backlash/ridicule etc

Easily pleased eh....Incredibly entertaining!?!? He's about as entertaining as a mountainous steaming pile of steaming **** with extra steam coming off it.

    It's a fair point. :good

Personally, I think that in the rematch he was half dead from the weight cut. First round was business as usual - easy takedown, he controlled Anderson. Then in the second, his mouth was hanging open, he had no explosiveness, could NOT get the takedown for the first time in 30 minutes of fighting the guy, and he was pretty much stumbling around without getting hit.

Same thing happened vs Bisping - he looked VERY gassed very early in the fight, without being hurt, and you just don't expect that from him.

Plus there was talk before the fight that he was using some new system to cut an insane amount of weight before the weigh-ins. It seems pretty clear that the cut affected his performance in a big way. :good

Anderson 1 he was trapped pretty good at the end IMO. But he does talk openly about having a problem with getting submitted, especially around the 7 minute mark.

    :good

Yeah there's no doubt Chael will back his **** up. He's not one of these guys who just runs his mouth and has no intention of following through. He WILL fight anybody at any time.

I think Chael has won more rounds against Anderson than every other UFC opponent combined? Yet because he runs his mouth to hype his fights, some "fans" **** all over him and give him no respect at all. That's bull****. :bart

We all love BJ, but IMO there's a line between "ballsy" and "stupid", and BJ is miles on the wrong side. Sure his fights with Hughes and to a lesser extent GSP are some of the great moments in MMA, but at what cost? What was he doing spending years fighting Fitch and Diaz and MacDonald and all those welters, let alone Machida? He could have locked down the #1 ATG LW standing for years to come, but he preferred to (except for Hughes 1) be just a contender in a division that he had no business in. Would have been better for his health, record and legacy to stay at LW IMO. :conf

But once you get to a certain level of fighting courage, it's all the same IMO. I mean, BJ, Wandy and Chael are all on the same level - they will fight. I put Chael's challenge of Jones on the same level as BJ's of Matt Hughes or Wandy's of Cro Cop - which is no doubt blasphemy according to some, but Jones is as good or better than any of those guys, and Chael faces just as many obstacles as BJ or Wandy. :good

Chael taking on jones in a title fight that'll make him rich is no where near wandy taking on cro cop and hunt under ****ing pride rules:lol:

Lookin forward to the fight tho

Chael is already rich, with several options for well-paying employment outside of the cage for years to come. He took the Jones fight because he wants a chance at a belt, and he wants to compete against the best. :good

to me it says bj didn't give a **** about records or legacy or any of that intangible nonsense.. he just wanted to test himself and i respect that above everything else in this game. its one of the reasons i question Anderson silvas fighting spirit. he has all the tools and is completely obliterating contenders at a higher weight but is still hesitant to really test himself. its frustrating to me

    :!:

    Chael sucks bro.

All the opportunity in the world, no capitalization at all. Top it off, he's had one incredible performance in his career, where he was on enough test to make Ronnie Coleman blush.

Well Sonnen delivered again! Another Audley Harrison-esque performance.
