You think his training consisted of what you saw on 24/7? Come on, FFS...you think HBO are going to show 15mins of Hatton on a speedbag? Or were even there with the cameras when he was doing that type of work?
i am reading rickys autobiography at the moment. I like ricky, but so much of the book talks about "how down to earth" he is. For ****s sake, its like he is really terrified of people thinking he is a big time charlie so he goes to the other extreme! where do you draw the line between common chav and down to earth? if you read calzaghes biography he seems just as down to earth but dosent go on and on about it. Its a far more interesting book too.
He counting his WBU and IBO and winning back the titles he vacated :nut If Calazage vacated as many times as Hatton he'd be a 25 times champ :nut I'm suprised Ricky doesn't count the football matches he won in school to add to his 6times champ, he could surely get it upto 100times champ with a little effort, he just isnt trying hard enough :yep
I know how he got to six, I was just telling Joe its possible to arrive at this number for Hatton if your definition of "world title" is lax enough.
I think "belt holder" is probably the most generous you could be. My own take would be 1 time world champ (Zoo), 1 time belt holder/ claimant (Collazo).
Well for someone who's not bright and what some people on here consider an average boxer, he's done not too bad for himself.
I know Floyd used a smaller version of the body bag(on what I believe was former heavyweight contender Nate Jones) while in training for his fight with De La Hoya . Infact I think Mayweather uses it in all training camps . However I doubt most that do use the body bag go with one as big as Hatton uses or use it as frequent as Hatton does .
So far, I've found out he's a gobby mincer with bad hands and a bad fashion sense. ****ing thrilling stuff.
That is what Hattons like..... He's a nice lad who doesn't awfully like talking about his boxing career on a daily basis.... What did you want Rob? A ring walk to his breakfast table?
Exactly. You can find a million youtube videos of these guys training, behind the scenes, at press conferences etc. It's 'sitting about the house' clips that you don't often get to see.
