Better consistency, slightly deeper resume IMO (very close), doesnt have the brutal losses in his prime and holds the win over Pac. Barerra got the better of their series but I dont think it was to point where he can surpass Erik by so much that its not possible the argue it either way. I think they are pretty much on par...I think you could argue either one being ahead but I think they are so close it doesnt really matter who.
Notice I didnt I Have Barrera above him,i was at that first fight ,greatest fight ive seen in person,but i was still pist cuz I had money on barrera and he was a 2 to 1underdog lot of people that he was on the way down but he deserved that fight. THe second one they gave to barrera and i thought that Morales edged him. 3rd fight another great one and the right guy got it. The rest of there resume is pretty equal Morales did beat pacman, but Barrera spanked Hamed. Bottom line Barrera should get the slight edge......... I also agree with you on Delahoya over Trinidad although I think Delahoya and Mosley are about even.
I've added up their wins over world titlists (sad I know), Barrera has 16 to Morales' 14, both impressive. Morales arguably has the bigger victories over sure-fire hall of famers Zaragoza, Pacquiao and Barrera himself while Barrera has two victories over Morales and a win over Prince Naseem. What swings it for me is the head to head although this doesnt mean everything I suppose, I rate Benn higher than Eubank for instance. It just seems people generally pick Morales over Barrera due to favouritism. Maybe not. I agree its close but I have Barrera ahead.
Yeah thats fine...as I said I feel it could go either way. I personally dont have a favorite out of either..Its impossible not to be a fan of both, because they are both such warriors. But in actual fact I have a little issue with these guys getting all the limelight at the expense of guys like Fenech, Gomez and Nelson. Who I think were better fighters.
I think Morales,Barrera were on the same level with the guys you mentioned in fact if they were to all fight eachother theyd all end up with losses,theyd beat each other up,I really dont think anyone would stand out above the rest.Although Gomez was awesome at 122,but he lost to when he moved up same with Fenech.Both barrera and Morales would would go either 2 and 1 or maybe 1-2 against those guys
O ne guy who stood above all of them was Sal Sanchez who already went 2-0 beating Nelson,Gomez and no doubt he would have beaten Fenech. SO maybe hes the one we owe it too. THen you could say Danny Little Red as he was a fixture on Regular tv who brought the lighter divisions into the imagination of the casual boxing fan and maybe even non boxing fans.
