    That is true ... Reyno

No hatin or anything ... I seen that in him in the past ... I thought that he could outbox Margarito but it did seem like he was hitting Margarito with everything and the more he kept coming the more discouraged Miguel looked. He didn't hold, side step, or pivot ... he just backpedalled and took punishment.

I don't want to sound like i'm hating but Cotto will never be anything more than he has been. A good exciting fighter with too many limitations ... it was him that was supposed to be in the position Pacquiao is in but he's not. He was supposed to beat Margarito, blowout the faded DLH, and beat the face first brawler Hatton.

He got a gift against Clottey and got a gift against Mosley ...

Its sad to say but he hasn't proven much ... outside of Clottey and Mosley his biggest win would be Zab Judah and Judah was beaten by Baldomir who already had 9 L's.

You have so many people within the sport (on the inside) against him and its not because they love Pacquiao so much - its because of logic.

    Hopkins
    Mayweather
    Roach
    Atlas
    Mosley
    Campbell
    Roger Mayweather
    Bradley
    Calzaghe*
    Leonard*
    Jones*
    Ali*
    Frazier*
    Foreman*
    Trinidad*

    *= joke

I'm not a huge Cotto fan, I also believe he lost to Clottey and to Mosley and quit against Margo, but I do not think Pac is as good or as elite as everyone says.

That is why I think Manny loses this to Cotto by KO from bodyshots. Manny hasn't shown me a damn thing since moving to 135 on up, to show that he is contender level with the big boys at 140 or 147.

Indeed. I was one of Cotto's biggest supporters and I thought he had what it took to be on of the very best. I picked him to make Mosley look real old. I even had money on Cotto. While awaiting the decision I figured that money gone in a close, close tough fight. But it seemed after that fight his invincibility cloak had been ripped off by Shane.

People do forget that after Mayweather fell through Cotto was the likely candidate for Hoya. With no other option Hoya took the biggest fight he could win.

I thought Hatton was the man at 140. But now in hindsight suddenly Hatton is a bum.

As for Cotto, yes he lost to Margarito but he won his last two fights after that. One was against Clottey, a top five welter. So how can he be a damaged goods when he can still win his fights? Cotto fought with one eye against Clottey and yet he still won.

You can look at my post history before the fight, I called a Paciaqou KO. I've always said Hatton was garbage and nothing but hype.

First we gotta agree that he must have the worst all time record for boxing analysts predicting fights...

Cotto might not be the exact same fighter since Margarito but he still has a full tank to create the FOTY against Pacquiao !

Being haunted by a bad loss is one thing, being "damaged goods" is another. A fighter cannot be "damaged goods" and at the same time beat an elite welterweight like Clottey. That's a load of crap by Atlas.

the guy is not damaged goods. he knows that no one else will ever do what margarito did to him. there is no way any other fighter would EVER be able to stand up to that kind of punishment for half a fight and just walk through it and keep throwing 100+ punches a round. that fight was an absolutely freakish display by a guy who can take flush bombs like a robot (or could anyways). cotto learned from the loss, he now understands that he isn't invincible and needs to come into fights with a game plan so that he isn't simply bombing on a guy for 7 rounds and gassing out. if anything, he's mentally stronger, guaranteed.
