If not a great boxer, a great humble human being. Through all the ridicule and adversity stands a man, proud, gold medal hung around his neck, wearing a beaming smile, always, who carries a message that the whole world needs to hear. DONT YOU DARE GIVE UP ON YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS! SETBACKS PAVE THE WAY FOR COMEBACKS!

Audley Harrison - The Grandfather of Boxing - Messenger to the world - Nice man.

    One Love.

No he's not. Not a warrior at all. A nice guy? Yeah he seems to be and he has decent boxing ability and when he is retired he will still have won an Olympic Gold and made a lot of money. But the reason he keeps coming back is because he is totally delusional about his own shortfalls as a fighter and about why he has lost in the way that he has so many times.

It beggars belief that he ever got fights with Haye and Price and the fact that he is the best name on Wilder's record just tells you how shockingly protected and untested Wilder is.

He often does not throw a punch in the ring. That is not a warrior. Gentleman? Maybe so, but while I could never hate him and don't like seeing someone ridiculed, he is in a pro sport where people have paid to watch him perform and he has on numerous occasions performed appallingly.

He is a warrior just for the sheer amount of abuse he has received from small minded evil people, yet he is still able to walk tall, head held high through all the ridicule and adversity, and share a smile with the world.

He is more of a warrior than Carl Froch or Mikkel Kessler if you ask me. He is the embodiment of a warrior, the epitome of success.

A true hero and role model.

Audley fan boys basically just give him credit because he didn't commit suicide after becoming the most ridiculed man in boxing. He's not a role model or a credit to anyone, he talks like he's some kind of inspiring character that managed to turn his life around against adversity, which is just bull ****.

He grew up near me, in Harlesden, yes it's a **** hole and a lot of people from round that way do end up in trouble but you don't deserve extra credit because you've only been jailed for a violent crime once, as is Audley's conviction rate. In any case, he hasn't lived in Harlesden since he got out of prison pretty much and apart from his pathetic little t- shirt stunt about a tiny park just off the long forgotten and doomed Stonebridge Park Estate does nothing for the area, Degale and Louis Theroux have done far more.

Credit for winning a gold medal but everything he has done since has purely been designed to line his pockets, and get himself the type of undeserved attention his ego craves. How can you give someone credit for coming back from adversity and ridicule which they created for themselves, purely for their own financial gain? If you think Harrison is a warrior or the epitome of success, you're a very confused person with a very low bench mark for measuring success. Boxing won't miss him but he will miss boxing because I can't think of anyone in the history of the sport who got so much out of it both financially and in terms of recognition that deserved it less.

Every time you think Harrison has done something for the sport, just remember that the money he was paid to not bother throwing a punch in his "fights" is money that left the promoter's coffers and didn't make it into a more deserving, hard working, brave, young, and more importantly financially in need boxer that could have been on the bill.

RIP Fraudley/A-Farce/Audrey, please just fade into obscurity and never bother us again.

The reason I like him and admire him is because people like you exist. What has he ever done to you personally!?! Go on tell us!

No, you just follow the crowd because you feel accepted.

"Lets all point and laugh at Audley Harrison" "Lets all mock Audley" "Lets bully Audley" :-(

Its basically another Emile Heskey situation.

The abuse these professionals receive from so called fellow "human beings" makes me sick.

What you ****s cant do is change the facts, the facts are Audley is a massive success, no matter what people say, no matter about his boxing career. None of that matters. He came from nothing and got something, he achieved something. Most importantly of all a loving family and safe house for them.

Most of you ****ers are just downright jealous. Thats all it is. Hate hate hate hate hate. Its all you want to do, its all you exist for. Look at your life, are you happy, are you happier than Audley? Whats so great about you on a boxing forum? Come on!

You ****ers just dont realize, he came from nothing and won an OLYMPIC GOLD MEDAL. Just think about that for a second.

I don't care if it was decades ago, HE DID THAT. HE DID THAT FOR BRITAIN. If he died seconds after receiving it, he can die a happy man and die a success. Forget about his career afterwards.

Its ludicrous you mortals even attempt to enter his realm.

His message is one that the whole world needs to sit and hear and he is a better role model than 99.9% of sportsmen today. Whether you like it or not. The truth is the truth.

Great Boxer? No. (but it dont matter)
    Great Man? Check.
    Great Father? Check.
    Great Role Model? Check.

He checks all that does matter on this planet, and these haters cant stand that fact. It gets you even angrier knowing that you cant actually do a thing about it, you can only say throw away meaningless things on a forum.

Oh Craney it is amusing to hear you trying to debate with adults but you have to understand sometimes on this forum there are real people actually having intelligent conversations and perhaps you should just try and refrain from posting your drivel all the time.

I've never met Audley Harrison so he has never personally done anything to me, however he like everyone else is open to criticism in his professional field. Osama Bin Laden has never done anything to me personally but I am still allowed an opinion on him, that's how freedom of speech works and doesn't automatically qualify me as a bully or a hater. He is inspiring to you and you view him as a success because you're well....Craney. An internet forum addict that sits at home playing computer games in between crying silently at your bleak lifeless existence, no wonder you look up to him.

Don't judge us all on your short comings though Craney, there are many people that have made a success of themselves that came from far less and surpassed what Audley Harrison has or hasn't achieved that can see him for what he is. To me he is just another person that never quite made it in their chosen field, in Audley's case often in comedic circumstances, it's exactly his refusal to accept his short comings that make me pity him as a deluded soul. Whereas you see him and think "that guy is inspiring, because like me, he's not that talented and everyone laughs at him, but he still hasn't totally given up and thrown himself off a bridge" !

You are the Audley Harrison of this forum Craney and I'm sure many others, an openly ridiculed, laughed at, ego driven, deluded clown that just keeps coming back for more. That's why you like him, and that's why you're a complete bellend.

Today, in work, my boss was like "Bill, where's my ****ING spreadsheet!?!?"

Two things crossed my mind. One - why is he calling me Bill, as that's not my name. Two - ****, I forgot to fill in the spreadsheet.

It knocked me for six. I spent an hour sitting a my desk doodling and thinking, how can I bounce back from this.

I filled the spreadsheet in. The content was a bit sketchy, and the numbers didn't quite add up, but he got his precious spreadsheet. I Audley'd that spreadsheet like there was no tomorrow.

If he calls me Bill tomorrow he's ****ing dead.
