audley who next

  1. Audley's got undoubted ability, but I could see Tua doing him some serious damage.

    Audley vs Danny for the british belt, is that a waste of time now?

    Maybe he will have to get one more win in the domestic scene (Sprott, Skelton, Danny) to be able to land a meaningfull fight, as aside Danny, there were no good names at the prizefighter group.

    Anyway, he should ride the good moment and set something up for not later than 4 months away.

    IMO:
    Good matchups:
    - winner of Fury-McDermott;
    - Sexton if he wins against Rogan;
    - Pianeta for an european belt; winner of Sosnowsky-Vidoz for an european belt; SSSam for an european belt;
    - Meehan/Ruiz/KJ/Austin/Toney for a high world ranking;
    - Valuev for the WBA belt

    Bad Matchups:
    - Rogan
    - Tua/Peter/Arreola/Briggs/Boytsov/Povetkin/Brewster/Solis/Ustinov

    Future (if he wins a couple of meaningfull good bouts)
    - Haye
    - The Klitchkos

    I can not see any of the current heavy weights in Europe or north America beating Audley.

    He just hasnt got it has he?
    He scored some classy knockdowns in prizefighter but he waits too long to long to let his hands go and doesnt throw enuff punches. His right hand is just used as a measuring stick now its not even a jab.
    His best bet would be to get a fight for the british belt and then maybe an european title shot win that and call it quits at least then his career wouldnt have been a total failure

    What about a fight with Matt Skelton before Xmas if he is still boxing he needs to keep active and it will be a test for him and then take on the winner of the Rogan fight. Never mind Tyson Fury it would be crazy for Fury to go in with Harrison at this time.

    skelton has retired.

    Audley needs to go beyond british title he doesnt need to waste time. just gotta go for broke.

    Davaryll Williamson, Brian Minto, Taras Bidienko, Ray Austin are all top 10 ranked. Beat a few of these and make an offer to a champion for a fight. If Audley really want to be world champion he should be prepared to dig into his deep pockets to get a shot.

    Silly question but does Barry Hearn still do fight cards that are not the prizefighter events?

    I know Audley mentioned going with Hearn and working together.

    i think pianeta for the EU belt is a winnable fight for A-Farce at this time, and probably about as far as he'll ever get.

    failing that, he could always try to reclaim his WBF 'world' title from francois botha then go after the holders of the WBU, IBC and GBU belts...

    I don't think Rogan is such a bad fight for Audley, if he put in just 10% more effort he could've won that fight. He had Rogan shaken in the second or third round but couldn't finish.

    Rogan/Sexton winner would be good, as would the Fury/McDermott winner.

    I would say go for those, trying to charge off after a world top ten guy is just asking for disaster again at this point. A 10-12 rounder against a fellow UK heavyweight would be smarter.

    looks like hearn might get behind him. he is promoting a euro title fight this year so maybe get Audley on the undercard there, followed by the fight with the winner.

    he hasnt got time to waste. personally i think Audley vs a journeyman and audley vs a top 10 fighter wouldnt be to different.
