Your coach probably knows John Barber, he's Joels trainer at Richmond.

He organises the pro-ams at Richmond bowls club, I'm actually waiting on a call from John to get a flyer so I can post it up here for Joels fight on the 18th.
I've been to 3 pro-am nights there in 18 months, so I guess he gets a few going there.

Yeh I'll never get my head around blokes like Elomar who carry on like that.

Thats good to hear he still has shows going on up there, as i recall they were always good shows and I even got to meet Danny Green at one of them well before the 1st beyer fight. He was wearing the biggest cowboy hat id seen at the time :lama :gun

I wouldnt mind making the trip up for that card Sox, could you send me the flyer when you get a chance?

Dummy's, signed gloves & photo's... It never ends.

My personal fav is the 'Illustrated History of Australian Boxing' that's been my autograph book for nearly 20 years. It's been sent to SA, QLD, NSW & the UK for choice signatures. About 150 signed throughout.. all the bloody greats of Australia included.

A recent addition to my little collection of bits and pieces is Dave Sands boxing licence from 1948. This was used for his first tour of NZ.

I can't believe i've been accused of 'NOT" being a nuthugger this has to be a first:D
I never knew Danny before he was a boxer,i met him briefly before the Sydney olympics.
But It wasn't till 2002 when i rang him and asked if i could name my racehorse after him that i started to get to know him.
As for Molly i've only met him 3-4 times at Dannys fights but i speak to him on the phone and email if i need any info the guy is a funny *******:yep[i had to say that cause he'll probably read this lol]
