Austin Trout vs Erislandy Lara

I know that several of you are picking Trout, but I have to admit that I just don't see it. Outside of workrate and chin, Lara possesses EVERY SINGLE ADVANTAGE.

 

angulo threw 700 punches in nine and a half rounds against lara

canelo threw 400 against trout and only 520 against ww mayweather in 12 total rounds

i still cant believe people here still mention canelos so-called "power" after he faced four legit jmws that actally came to fight(rhodes,mosley,trout,mayweather) and all four made it into the 12th round.

thats not the statitstics of someone with power.

thats the statistics of someone with overrated power.

 

I expect Lara to thoroughly outbox him and maybe stop him late.

 

Lara has more talent, more skill, and far more power. He wins as long as he's on his game. If he fight half asleep like he did against Vanes, Trout can pull it off.

 

Very close on paper. I'm leaning toward Lara myself. Both have good skills. I think Trout assumes the role of aggressor, Lara has a reach advantage I believe, which will play a part I think. Good solid toss up fight though.

 

Half asleep vanes won 2 or 3 rounds tops.

 

The winner should fight Canelo !
