RIP Stifflers Mum , my condolences to Pecks and your family mate . we all lost a true gentleman with his passing . Josey
Anybody else now going to scream their head off rooting for Horn in stif's honor? I was torn, but now the flag is planted firm. AFAIK the lad was the first (domestically) to start talking Horn up, years before he was a known quantity internationally.
You know, I wondered myself and considered asking (as I believe he was on the youngish side? Late thirties at most?) but unless @pecks sees fit to make it known probably best we don't pry.
How about a historical perspective and analysis of Australian boxing in his honor? I'd do it.... But my writing ability is quite limited. The Jeff Horn thread you did on how he'd match against WW2 era Welterweights(or was it just through the ages?) Was pretty good.
Just skimmed through and he never posted in that one, shame, he would've liked it. ...and the Darchinyan appreciation thread, had it been made just a week earlier he might've glimpsed that one. As for doing a retrospective Aussie boxing history, that sounds like quite an undertaking, but yeah, would be a fitting tribute - just as long as you don't flatter Danny Green too much, he'd be wroth like a frog in a sock.
Sorry to hear about this. This thread will serve as a nice tribute to a solid poster. RIP Stifler's Mum.
Time to re-post Carruthers vs Toweel. Think Stifler would have appreciated this. This content is protected
Anyone heard anything on George Kambosos Jnr lately? I know he was SM's favorite up-and-comer. Last fought in October, yet appears to have nothing scheduled. That's half a year of prime wasted at 24yo.
