I'm big on the best Australian fighters facing each other before they go forth on the world stage. The ones who aren't willing to do so are ill-prepared for the Big Show & usually fail miserably. The money needs to be there of course in order for them to accept the risk of a loss. Where a division is headed up by an Undisputed champ, as Light Welter is, it's even more important I reckon. The Undisputed champ has better things to do than give multiple title shots to Australians. I think there's a strong case for the Undisputed champ making a defence of his titles against the best Australian though. Who's the best Australian at Light Welter? I have a view but I'd like to see it decided in the ring.

In addition, I don't just want to see one of our blokes fight for the Undisputed championship. I want to see them win it. A tough fight against each other will prepare conquering hero Stevie Spark or quiet achiever Liam Paro to plant the Australian flag atop the Light Welter division where it belongs. We've been there before & can go there again. I reckon Stevie sparks the Scotsman the same way he sparked Hannah Montana.

Once Montana's team finish gluing his glass jaw back together I wonder if he will have the balls to come to Australia for a rematch seeing he thinks he was hard done by. If so someone needs to give Eddie the contact details for O'briens glass and have them on stand by.

Yeah, youve ot a point. I often forget the fighters of old were more interested in getting experience than a potential loss. Although, a loss by Spark to Paro at the moment would be seen as extremely bad management of opportunity..

Doubtful, but yes, if he really wants the rematch I'm sure we can accommodate him. Stevie is the A-side now so the rematch should be here. Preferably Toowoomba. Montana & his team can be sure they will get a fair shake up there in Queensland.

It looks like that Scotsman is no longer Undisputed champ. He's only the WBO champ & Liam Paro is the mandatory for it. Makes sense for Liam to take the title shot & payday that will go with it in those circumstances. Stevie can pursue the WBA route or whatever presents itself.

We'll match up Liam Paro & Stevie Spark when they're both world champs.

I saw some of the Bridge's O'Connell presser. God Bridges is an unbearable character. I thought Shotgun did well in making Bridges look like the needy insecure fool she is. It goes to show what a bit of fame does to people Bridges came across as a more likeable person in the build up to the Courtney fight now she is showing her true colours. I am usually not interested in women's boxing but I really wanna see Shotgun put a beating on her.

I just read about the nasty feud between Zerafa and his ex trainer manager Sam Labruna. Labruna claiming Zerafa was scared to fight Tim Tszyu and wanted Labruna to cut his eye in the gym as an excuse to pull out of the fight. Obviously the feud all stems from money as Labruna is trying to block Zerafa's fight on the Gallen under card next week.

Washed up, but cashed up.... FFS. Avoided Leapai his entire career. Alex would get off the forklift, not train a single day, and bust his head in under a minute.... like GALLEN DID!!

    This is fkn BIZZARO LAND!

Browne inks 3 fight deal with DIBELLA entertainment. Leapai wont be an opponent..

Sam is one of those uncompromising characters of Aussie boxing. He either treats you like family or you're dead to him.

Kind of comes across a little spiteful and jelly to me though. He is not a fan of the No Limit organisation thats for sure.

I have never rated Labruna the fact that he won't travel is ridiculous he wasn't in the corner with Zerafa for the Brook fight or the Horn rematch two of the biggest fights of his career and he wasn't there.

Australia versus The World continues on Wednesday night with Michael Zerafa up against former Italian amateur star Danilo Creati 8-0 (1). Creati has won professional fights on three different continents & has a good win on his record against the bloke who kept Daniel Lewis & Tim Tszyu off the 2012 Olympic team.

Some decent fights on the undercard also. Ty Telford v Joel Taylor, Wade Ryan v Koen Mazoudier & 2021 Olympian, Paulo Aokuso. I think there might be a couple of boofhead footballer fights on the show as well.

On the subject of Michael Zerafa, he has a question for Australian boxing fans:

It got cancelled I heard mate.

Some issue with the NSW combat sanctioning it.

Don't know why, maybe someone failed a medical.
