Great fight for Dana, Luke Boyd has been inactive but he throws them hard & often. Nice bloke but he can put a hurt on if he catches you. Looking forward to this one.

The big boy fights on the prelims both ended inside a round.

So a lot of fluffing around until the next fight.

Looks like they been working on power for Tim, the width of his back and how developed it looked today, they are tuning this beast perfectly for his progression to be in his prime.

THE BOXING SCOREBOARD - AUSTRALIA 18, THE WORLD 9

As we approach the halfway point in the year, the ratio of Australian boxing wins versus The World on The Boxing Scoreboard is the same as it was last year - 2:1. The numbers don't lie. Australian boxing is twice as good as the rest of the world put together.

    Official results:

    AUSTRALIA 18
    Alex Winwood
    KO 4 Tibo Monabesa (Indonesia)
Brock Jarvis KO 4 Marlon Paniamogan (Philippines)

Sam Goodman UD10 TJ Doheny (Ireland)
Paulo Aokuso UD10 Yunieski Gonzalez (Cuba)

The Boxing Scoreboard OFFICIALLY recognizes STEVIE SPARK as the LEGITIMATE winner of the fight & The Boxing Scoreboard NEVER lies.

Tims hard work has paid dividends meanwhile all this fart arsing by Charlo has backfired massively.

Do you all Aussies miss the days when even regional fights were live on TV free? I know that in the USA, I do!

Here is Grantlee Keiza’s tribute to Ray Wheatley…

I’m 61 years old now but not too proud to admit that I cried like a baby after the sudden death of my great pal Ray Wheatley on Tuesday. I must have written a million words about boxing over the years but none have been harder to write than these ones, penned with shaking hands and a broken heart. Ray was the greatest friend that Australian boxing ever had, giving opportunities to countless Aussie fighters through his position as an IBF executive and for more than three decades as an international journalist pushing the cause of Australian boxing through Fightnews. Just about everything I learned about the fight game I learned from Ray and Johnny Lewis, the two great mentors of my life. Whenever Ray would call me, his optimism and great cheer would brighten my day like a sudden burst of sunshine. I never knew Ray to be anything but uplifting and inspiring. Whether we were having lunch with Max Schmeling, hunting down George Foreman for an interview or chatting to Vernon Forrest after he’d just bamboozled Shane Mosley, Ray made everyone around him feel like they’d won Lotto.
I first met Ray when I was 19, training sometimes at the gym in the backyard of his houses at St Marys and then Leonay, before delighting in the dinners of his wonderful wife Vicki that always followed the gym sessions. Ray and I were the best of mates for more than 40 years and business partners for more than 30, running boxing magazines together and touring the world, covering fights alongside each other at places as far flung as Madison Square Garden to the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund and American Airlines Arena in Miami where we sat next to Antonio Tarver as he called out Roy Jones Jr. In Brisbane, on the night before Jeff Horn's great win over Manny Pacquiao Ray and I both tipped the upset for Fightnews.
As his friends John McDougall and Lovemore Ndou wrote this week, Ray was a giant among men, not only in stature but in his character. He was a tough man who once decked Tony Mundine in their fight at Manly, and while he wouldn’t tolerate mugs, at heart he was a gentle giant, the most generous, kindly, respectful, decent bloke you could possibly meet. He adored his family and worked tirelessly to help the sport he loved almost as much as them. In his time he was a fighter, trainer, manager, promoter, commentator, journalist and senior international executive of the sport.
It was because of Ray working secretly without my knowledge that I received both the OAM and a place beside him in the Australian Boxing Hall of Fame. Once when I ran foul of some very dodgy criminal characters who had taken offence at something I wrote, Ray turned up to sort things out, showing that he was willing even to take a bullet for me if he had to. I could never repay Ray’s kindness to me but I will honour his memory at every opportunity.
Thanks to all my wonderful friends for reaching out to me following Ray’s passing.
Everyone who knew Ray knows what a profound loss he is not just to the fight game, but as Emaid Dib said, to humanity. He was one of the greatest men I ever met and the world is a poorer place for his passing.
My deepest condolences to Vicki, Toni, Raymond Jr, Ava and Paul.
Rest in Peace Ray. I pray that one day I will get to shake your hand again in Paradise.

One of the reasons the most exclusive & prestigious club in Australian boxing, the IBF World Champions club, is so well populated is b/c of Ray. Many unknown (to the world) Australian fighters got their big break on the international stage by being given a shot at an IBF world championship thanks to Ray.

Australian Boxing IBF World Champions club - Lester Ellis (JL), Barry Michael (JL), Jeff Fenech (B), Billy Dib (Fe), Gairy St Clair (JL), Robbie Peden (JL), Lovemore Ndou (JW), Kostya Tszyu (JW x 2), Vic Darchinyan (Fl & JB), Sam Soliman (M), Daniel Geale (M), TJ Doheny (JFe), Jai Opetaia (Cr), Ebanie Bridges (B) & Cherneka Johnson (SB).

It would be good value being a member of that club, I reckon. Particularly with a couple of recent additions.
