Will the Houston Hare be turned into rabbit stew this weekend with lil bit of cinnamon stirred through?
Very significant weekend of boxing coming up. Well day, really. On Sunday. Jai's obviously one of our very best fighters but he's got to be vulnerable fighting over there, coming off a long lay-off & a badly broken jaw (in two places). Don't think I've ever seen anyone return from a broken jaw & be immediately at the level they were at before they broke it. It often takes a year & several fights to get back to where they were prior to sustaining an injury like that. I just hope Jai can successfully defend his titles & move onto bigger & better things. I don't know anything about the other bloke but I'm expecting a tough fight. Canelo v Charlo has significant interest for us also in that how Charlo goes will likely determine his immediate future @ Junior Middle. If he gets brutally kayoed he would likely be returning to the division as damaged goods - that's if he returns at all. Crawford & Timmy would be licking their lips at the prospect of facing him. If he goes the distance, gives a good account of himself & returns to Junior Middle, he's still the guy to beat in that weight division & can pick & choose who he fights. I smell upsets this weekend, myself. Hoping Jai isn't one of them & then let's sit back & see what unfolds.
The reason for that is because Tasman and Matchroom aren't aligned with Fox Sports, but rather DAZN. Therefore there's no boxing coverage in the Murdoch press except the usual Tim Tszyu etc because they're trying to sell PPV for themselves.
100% agree. Aus sports media are commercially focused, lazy and relying on crisis click bait content for casual audiences. It's sad they can't just report on facts like the old days. If Opetaia wanted constant coverage in Australia he would be with other promoters though.

Joe Goodall v Efe Ajagba is on. Good fight for Joe I think he can win it Ajagba is a big stiff idiot.
Easy money. The Doodles will have Big Bad Joe paying $5.00-plus like they did against Stephen Shaw. Make it rain, Big Joe!
Good fight and even though I'm not a huge fan of Ajagba, he always seems willing to fight anyone as does Goodall. HW boxing in general could learn a thing or 2 from these guys.
Mateo Tapia finally bagged a fight in the States. Good to see him back in the ring. Oct 18th with Brandon Glanton headlining.
