Australian Boxing/SM Memorial thread

If ESB is open to it, I’d be more than happy to moderate the Australian forum, and get it back up and running. It’s a shame that we just have a memorial thread - considering we are in our golden era.

 

We ran it by the powers that be before AD.

The back slapper brigade ruined it unfortunately and now there isn’t enough of us anymore to warrant it.

 

Fenech says he rates Sam Goodman second best in the division behind Innoue and that he believes Goodman can eventually unify the division, provided he takes his time.

 

@CST80 @Serge any chance of this happening? We all promise to behave now that the backslappers are all gone.

Maybe but I really hope Goodman waits until Inoue moves up and doesn't chase a fight with the Monster.

Inoue could put the sort of beating on Goodman that is career damaging.

 

I thought we were past this buster? That was the narrative that the backslappers created. I am an integral part of the Aussie community on here mate. If any of my actions have upset you in the past then I offer my sincerest apologies. I am sorry. Can you accept my apology so we can move on and enjoy Aussie boxing?

 

You are right Aussie boxing is flying at the moment we are in a golden era not only amongst the fighters we have but also the members on this forum some of us have been here for over 10 years now and a few like yourself and @WhataRock who have been here even longer. We have had some great additions this year with @The Cryptkeeper and @NoChin
A lot of us have put our differences aside and we have united for a common cause but at the same time we are not backslappers and can still have a healthy debate. Lets OGG.

if that stuff and the hating of every oz boxer doesn't start then it will be a great addition to have an ozzie boxing forum imo.

I accept some of the blame and apologize for that. I feel you were not an innocent party either but I would like to let bygones be bygones as we are building something great here. If Buster and The Prowler can bury the hatchet and get along that would show things have definitely changed.

Strong moderation of the Australian forum will be required to keep the rogue Kiwi element in line. Particularly when next year's Olympics roll around & Kiwi fans come to the realization that they don't have any representation. That's when simmering frustrations at Australian boxing's ongoing glory march to the top of world boxing are likely to boil over. The @Sandman_ stands ready to hammer a few of them over the head with the ban stick in a fair but firm manner.

It won't be all bad news for Kiwi fans though. I am inclined to grant them their own thread in the Australian forum where they can utter remarks like "Emu down" with relative impunity.

 

Hearing Paro-Garcia is being discussed and the aim is to hold it here in Oz.
