This seems pretty right for "young" amatuers who haven't yet reached full bone density. I was 118 pounds at 5'8'' in college, and never tried to make weight, though I am much stronger near 130. I saw some really tall beanpoles on the boxing team: that seems to work really well for the amatuer ranks. I felt much more average in height up at feather or light later in life, and too short to ever want to compete at welter, though there are some super small guys who do that.
As an amatuer? thats pretty skinny and tall imo. Then again i am one short and somewhat stocky *******
a boxer at my gym is 59kg at 6'1 but only 15 i can see him growing into middleweight at least, im 5'9 and 66kg.
Nah, I can be kind of fat (for me) at 140 lbs at 5'8''. It depends on your frame though. The avatar is at a weight of 128 lbs, but the skeletal frame is super slight <---
yeah, its me. I was always a bit big for weight classes but not ridiculously huge, though. skeletal frame is small. Most of the light heavies in the gyms are actually enormous people when they aren't at fighting weight. Middleweights are of all heights from shorter than me to much taller, but I would get murdered at those kind of weights if I honestly expected to compete, too much punch overall I just couldn't absorb that impact even if I packed on muscle and fat.
