Boom :thumbsup I felt exactly the same. Overall i found the card VERY average. Even for entertainment value it was a whole bunch of boring decisions. That aside the way they brought Rashad in was like a WWE Vince McMahon special. Whilst i am a big pro wrestling fan the UFC likes to think its a polar opposite from that. When in reality its the same shite. Heel vs Face. I found it cringe worthy.
He sure tried to act like the heel last night giving that snide stare at Bones while Bones was staring somewhere else. Its a complete mismatch but I like the way theyre selling it. The question is whos side will Jackson be? ooooh
Sorry I am just a hard grade. Like to watch ground game and stand up fighting....but when it looks the same over and over...I was going over the Showtime to watch the boxing missmatch. Not to say the card was a total clunker..but just wasn't worth the money IMO.
Jackson will be on Jones side, Jones is the UFC choosen one. Plus Rashad left and now trains at Grudge, in Denver, with Carwin and Marquardt and a few others.
Even when Jones took him down I was enthusiastic but when Shogun stood up and he was completely and utterly spent after 3 or 4 minutes, I sighed and accepted what was about to unfold.
He couldnt kick because he was gassed after the first prelonged grappling exchange in round 1 , he looked petrified to throw a kick after he realised he couldnt sweep Jones or stand up from bottom position !! Shogun is not the fighter he was and never will be and Jones was better in every single department on the night .......................
Is it tongue in cheek? It's often hard to tell on this forum. There's a pretty even blend of trolls and smart alecs. Even chimba is a walking contradiction - sharp dude, but puts out some ****ing wild opinions now and then.
IB just call me the doubletalk guy and skip the insults. Seriously Shogun never had a prayer. When you have a talent as good as Jones and you couple that with what seems to be a solid mental foundation. You have a guy thats way ahead of the curve.
