No question. We already have clowns on social media predictably playing the victim complaining about PBK being praised to high heaven for running when the likes of Haney and Shakur are criticized for it. Firstly, I haven't seen PBK be praised to high heaven and I personally don't enjoy that style regardless of who's doing it. I think Jack Catterall is one of the worst fighters to watch in the entire sport and I hate spoilers with a vengeance. But whilst PBK was very negative he wasn't holding like a lonely octopus all night and stiff-arming and there is a world of difference between getting on your bike all night vs a murderous puncher like Bak when you're a huge underdog who looked significantly bigger than PBK in there tonight to me and running and holding on for dear life vs leprechauns half your size or old shot leprechauns half your size who aren't even punchers for goodness sake which is what Haney does. Bak could've put PBK to sleep in violent fashion in the blink of an eye

I also thought it was a draw. It was the type of fight where hometown fighter would get the nod, which is what happened.

That beşng Said, the one who fought to their maximum, who gave it their all was Kelly. Murtazaliev barely pressed when he had Kelly hurt, barely showed any sense of urgency. So I’m fine with the decision, good for Kelly to resurrect his career.

I'm not that defensive about it. I honestly felt it was razor-close and found it difficult to score and gave up trying to do so quickly. I just explained the reasons why I feel PBK might have nicked it even though he might not have deserved to do so and I'm not sure if he did or not.

    Very true.

In a way that defensive style is like haney's. Bag enough rounds and then check out, don't make any mistakes anymore, deny all possibilities of any action.

Like a chess player who only needs a draw, which is often not much of a problem.

But I can understand it, too. Against murtazaliev. I hope murtazaliev gets more good fights. I will certainly watch him.

 I'm actually fond of our cousins across the pond and all joking and trolling aside I have big issues with many of my fellow Brits but I felt this one was razor-close and very difficult to score and whilst PBK's negativity worked against him so too did Bak's crudeness work against Bak and they kind of cancelled each other out in that regard

Murtazaliev had the toughest reputation in Grozny county but he never came back after Kelly got through with hin.

Makes me think Tim actually could’ve beaten him if he had a proper game plan instead of trying blast him out.

Yes mate when you see fighters regularly blame poor performance on their camp and preparation, Padley makes a mockery of it, straight off a building site on 4 days notice as part time professional fighter, he was in no condition to be fighting against someone like Stevenson but he took his chance and took his licks, and he was rightfully rewarded with a professional contract and changed his life.
Love that, speaks like a proper lad to.
I will be following his career and supporting him the same goes for Pat Brown he looks like he could be something special, he looks like an absolute beast, decent craic to been watching him on a podcast with Dave Allen quality banter between them. But you can tell how hard he is by the way Dave looks at him and the respect he shows him

100%, he can't go hard in early rounds against top level fighters as his defense is non existent when he's windmilling.

    Word, Serge.

And as a Yank who's half English, I'm allowed to engage in gratuitous slagging of British fighters since I'm a transplanted member of the tribe.
