Flat out ducked him much worse than Floyd did. And made no excuses whatsoever. But the Floyd haters like to give Shane a free pass because it fits their agenda.

Let's get this straight, you're comparing Shane not fighting Paul Williams at age 37 to Floyd not fighting Cotto, Tszyu, Margarito et al? I think you're reaching.

Tarver was on HBO back then. I don't know if he had an exclusive contract but his last 8 fights or so had been on HBO. I doubt Quintana ever had a contract with one of the networks.

When Lewis-Tyson was finally made, that was a relief that Showtime & HBO were able to compromise. That was a whole giant mess. Two different announcers, Jimmy Lennon not being able to say "it's Showtime!!"

Floyd is an *******, but he is also in my opinion the best tactician in the world and by a healthy margin. Incidentally, I suspect that he will beat Shane.

Shane tried to get the fight 10 years ago. Shane declined. Floyd called out Shane in 2006, Shane again declined. This is al documented through video and articles.

IF you choose to believe in fantasy thats on you. The rest of us will live in reality. Its obvious you dont know much about the history of Floyd Mayweather.

Ok then why you blaming Floyd if you realize boxing is a business? Did Oscar ever fight Forrest? Did Oscar ever fight Wright? No.

why? Cuz they werent draws, so why do you blame Mayweather soley for something that you know very well goes on in the sport?

    Agreed.
Again Floyd called out Mosley twice. Mosley declined twice, what dont you understand? floyd fights for the highest paycheck possible. If that fighter is dangerous or weak it doesnt matter. For instance, Mosley and Pac unlike Margarito and Cotto are big draws now, thats why he's willing to fight these two fighters. Plus the fact that Mosley is a GBP fighter and he wont have to deal with Bob Arums dumbassery.
Both Oscar and Shane were bigger then Floyd Mayweather. Mayweather spent 90% of his career at 130. P4P Corrales and Castillo are just as good as any fighter Oscar or Mosley have defeated(except for Oscar himself) but of course Shane and Oscar would beat both of them because they were bigger. It'd be like asking if Floyd fought Pacs competition would Floyd still be undefeated even though Pac has the better resume. Floyd was bigger then Morales and Barrera of course, doesnt take away from the fact that pound for pound Morales, Barrera and Marquez are better then anyone P4P that Floyd has beaten. See what I mean?

No. You said that Shane never ducked fighters. He did it blatantly. Paul has been begging to fight him and Cotto for three years now. Nothing.

So you can make your little hate rants about Mayweather all you want. But for the sake of credibilty, you shouldn't try to include statments like that about Shane to try and back up your point. It's offensive to the Paul Williams fans around here.:smoke

Mayweather = King of hypothetical fights.

I love how he doesn't even have to prove himself to be considered amazing.
He just gets the title from his nut suckers because he outboxed marquez and corrales.

    Woopty ****ing do.

the first part of your post shows u dont look at **** really...HE IS MAKING HALF OF WHAT HE WOULD BE MAKING WITH MANNY PACQUIAO BY FIGHTING SHANE MOSLEY...FURTHERMORE HE WOULD ADD TO HIS LEGACY MORE BY FIGHTING MANNY THAN HE DOES SHANE...

U SAY HE DONT TAKE RISK..HE RISKING THE BIGGEST FIGHT IN BOXING PPV HISTORY (AT LEAST POTENTIALLY AS A LOSS FOR FLOYD MAKES THE PAC-MAYWEATHER FIGHT LESS APPEALING TO ALL FANS ESPECIALLY THE CASUAL FAN) BY TAKING A FIGHT WITH THE OTHER TOP WW....

SO IF YOUR SAYING HE DONT FIGHT RISKY OPPONENTS, MOSLEY IS DAMN RISKY AS HE IS THE BEST FLOYD WILL HAVE FACED UP TO THIS POINT IN HIS CAREER....

    U BEEN OWNED AGAIN COLD:deal:hi:

ACTUALLY NOT REACHING AT ALL...FLOYD CALLED OUT TSZYU ON MANY OCCASSIONS...AS FOR TONY, FLOYD WAS GOING AFTER SHANE FOR THE NOV 2006 FIGHT IS A LOT BETTER THAN TONY AS IS PROVEN ALREADY IN JAN 2009.....

THE TSZYU FIGHT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO MAKE AS BOTH FIGHTERS WERE TIED TO THEIR OWN NETWORKS...U GONNA BLAME BUTE FOR NOT FIGHTING WARD NOW KNOWING DAMN WELL THEY INVOLVED IN CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS THAT DONT ALLOW THEM TO FIGHT OFF NETWORK DUMMY...:patsch
