So let me get this right... (to people who are choosing Baldomir). Forrest is quicker, taller, bigger, stronger, has Buddy McGirt as a trainer, has a harder punch, and on top of that is a far better boxer. Is the handicappers and "experts" favorite... but you still think Baldy is going to win because of what... Pressure? He already showed he could hang with Ike. And he's not going to trade with Baldy, he's already let it be known he's content with a decision and won't be going for the knockout.

I'm thinking Forrest by wide UD, especially if his shoulder holds up. I don't think he is as shot as some are suggesting.

I need to correct something... I was getting the Forrest / Quartey interview confused with Forrest / Baldomir.

“All I want to do is win — that’s it," he said. “If it goes 10 rounds, to me it’s irrelevant as long as I get the W at the end of it. I know I’m going to put on a great show." (http://www.fightwriter.com/?q=node/325)

I can't imagine he'll go into this with any different mindset and with the same trainer, but didn't want to be spreading misinformation. Got things mixed up in my head with all of my surfing...

Hopeless romantics my ass. Anything is possible in this game and I don't think it's so unbelievable to imagine a very motivated Baldy coming in and wearing Forrest down.

For all the people talking **** about Baldy and being certain that this is an easy fight for Forrest...I have seen next to no comments about the fact that Forrest shouldn't even BE HERE in this fight. Need I say more?

Forrest should be able to win a UD.

Honest question. Sixteen months ago, would you have had this same 'anything is possible' attitude?

It was a Cinderella story. A solid journeyman came out of nowhere to beat an enigmatic Judah (one equally capable of beating an A+ fighter and losing to a C), and a shot Gatti, and then his carriage was repumpkined.

You're saying Forrest can handle Ike's pressure but not Baldy's? And you think Forrest isn't as motivated as Baldomir? I say the motivation is equal.

So you have: motivation (Baldy) compared to motivation + quicker + taller / bigger / stronger / harder puncher + far better boxer (Forrest) = Baldy has a good chance?

This is about the lesser of two evils(read: who sucks the least). And that would be Vernon Forrest.

    VF by wide UD.
