i know beeston, but, surely, no matter who the opponent is, its gonna take him more than a handful of days to prepare for that change of opponent....ie, if it was a southpaw and he had to change tatics..that type of thing..

I aren't asking you to dig them out, just offering a thought ;)

Jeff - you seriously think Warren will allow Hide to one of his press conferences?

Doubt it but Hide is the only suitable ACTIVE replacement. He fought just 2 weeks ago.

WARREN MAKE THIS HAPPEN- PLEASE THE FANS FOR ONCE

For me, if Warren makes this fight he's out of the bad books for the time being.

    I'd even take Dean Francis.

Hide is active, and stupid enough to take fights at the last minute......

I just remember the farcical Danny Williams press conference and the post fight riot at the Harrison vs ??? fight.

Warren is bad enough with Chris Eubank bullshitting and David Haye doing a no show - so Herbie Hide is a step too far.......

How active is Francis, also, how good is he (never seen him fight).

Now, if Enzo was already champ they would easily ratify it...they've done stuff like that before. Guys like Damon Reed and Tim Tomashek becoming title challenger.

But for the vacant belt? Yeah, I think even they would not want to arrange it between just one top-rated contender.

Enzo-Herbie would be fun but I can't get my hopes up about it happening.
For Herbie's part though he should shoot his mouth off as much as he can.

Does that still mean that the winner of Macca v. TBA at last minute bum will still pick up the WBO belt?

We're pondering that, but I'd really be surprised. If Enzo was the champ already I'm sure they'd go for it, but they'll want the vacant strap to be between two top-rated guys. Otherwise their new champ looks like a total joke.

That's never stopped them before. What other sanctioning bodies might consider is making the contest an interim Championship. Then, the winner would have to face Banks or someone else ranked high for the full title. The WBO doesn't work like that, though. They don't do mandatories so why would they do Interim Championships?

Feel bad for Enzo as this was a big fight for him to come back from the Haye loss.
    I'm not buying this anyway.
