Pintor was very good, tough guy, great uppercut and left hook......Dixon was highly regarded for his skills and defensive ability to parry, evade, block , etc......had excellent footwork and gigantic stamina..... So, Dixon (overall) was probably the better fighter, better skilled boxer.....Pintor could win some great bantaweights in my opinion, but not Dixon, the more complete fighter in this one.... I think Dixon by decision
Some dream fights are difficult when translating them to real time. We have so little footage of Dixon and only what we read, which can be skewed due to the writer's pugilistic history and knowledge of the times. I can envision Dixon, with his rail thin frame, boxing and using the ring to his advantage. Pintor, whom we have oodles of knowledge on, to be starting slowly, bearing down continuously and from the 5th round on - after having warmed up thoroughly - beginning to beat on Dixon's non-ample rib cage. Pintor really thrived over 15 rounds and I see a late round stoppage on the books for Pintor. Scartissue
