Thats not an attack on Barker, thats just facts. Even if he beat Spada he still wouldnt be in a position to get that fight - in my humble opinion of course.

 

tend to agree. They have turned down 5,6 fighters on a simular level to Barker.

unless he is getting a slide from HBO this time round. Barker has a high WBC ranking and is probably the highest ranked person prepared to take the fight as the others are prospects already in eliminators or have eliminators for other belts.

Barker isn't a prospect anymore. If he is offered good money he should take the fight. If he just performs well he will be in a better position.

Why would HBO reject your boy Zbik but no Barker?

 

1) As I pointed out there is literally nobody for him to fight
2) Since his win over an opponent ONLY HBO wanted him to fight he may be given a free pass, to keep him on the network until a suitable challanger is found.
3) Barker has a more attractive style than Zbik.

Get this fight in London. Do it at 2am to suit US tv and you will get a very good crowed somewhere in London for it.

Everyone knows I am one of Barker bigger fans on this forum. But he is a lamb to the slaughter here. Don't dobut for one minute he would take the fight if a decent offer came in though.

 

I like Barker but he would get smashed.
