The last person that they want to match Barker with in 2010 is Pavlik...:yep

macklin and barker can forget about pavlik and also there fight between each other, i'd give both a very good chance of beating sylvester and sturm but both fights are very tough and would go all the way, if the promoters can get them those fights on uk soil then we could have two new champs in 2010 macklin/sturm barker/sylvester would be my pick.

sayin that i would'nt be suprised if macklin gets put to sleep by pirog plus i hear barkers in a tough fight with proksa next.

if barker and macklin do ever meet you can guarantee one will have a loss on there record.

im still interested to see what this hassan n'jikam is like?

    Macklin already has Jammie moore.

Plus was only talking about Mackin fighting Pavlik not Barker!

I think Barker needs quality opposition before world titles are being mentioned.I mean look at his record.Perfect-yes,quality opponents-no.McDermott and Butler are not up to it.Fair play, ruthless performances but I can't help but think he will struggle badly when put in with quality i.e. Macklin.Sure he was dropped by Paul Samuels for god sake

I thought it was Conroy McIntosh who put him down twice.........

It was McIntosh that dropped him twice, however from my memory(and that is a little hazy) Samuels should have had a knockdown scored when he fought Barker, although Barker wasn't hurt. Barker then went and stopped him in that round(1st).

Can someone please have alook through Barkers record and explain to me why they think he could compete at world level.
He hasn't in my opinion beaten anyone as top class BRITISH level, never mind world. http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=267609&cat=boxer
He has potential, without doubt, but he nowhere near world class yet.
