Barker v TBA with 4 weeks to go

I am broadly in favour of what Hearn is trying to do at the moment,but we still have no named opponent for Barkers fight with 4 weeks to go.I don`t like it when the main event has one fighter called tba with 4 weeks to go,the opponent is unlikely to be anyone good and it reeks of old age promoting.The undercard is okay but Barkers opponent should of been announced by now.

 

Are tickets on sale? I remember Hearn saying in the past that he never goes on sale with a TBA.

 

Yeh its poor form from Hearn. This is usually a W*rren move.

 

Yep tickets are on sale and are very cheap to be fair and it has Jones-Purdy on the undercard but not having the main event nailed down four weeks before the fight is very poor imo and i would be giving fisheyes stick for the same thing so it`s only fair to say that this isn`t good enough.

Hes relatively new to the game,Rob.Theyve all done it,going back to Jack Solomons and Harry Levene to my recollection.Cant see him being any different.

Proksa fights in ireland on saturday. He should win with ease and has probably been told he's in line to face barker after that. Barker has probably been told he's fighting proksa too, just cant be announced as of yet.

Barker vs proksa isn't too bad a fight.

 

Proksa's already fighting in the US against Adama at the end of the month. Maybe Lee?

 

Proska is scheduled to fight in America in March I think.

 

Highly unlikely imo. I'm thinking Lee v Barker will be made in the Summer. Don't expect anyone great to face Barker.

In general he doesn't do it so you can't really chastise him. With W*reen its the norm.

Its not great for ticket sales so I cant see them doing it much in the future.

 

I think he'll fight McEwan, just a feeling.
