I'm not believing it until I get proper confirmation.

If true, another disgusting blow for us fans. Seriously, being a fan of the sport is a ****ing endurance test.

The Lee fight is a big one but kind of a waste in Birmingham.

well there is a danger when buying PPV that you might not get through to their sales agents on time if you have to resort to telephone orders like me.... Happened me once before with Setanta

Who else will they get? It's just as handy for the Irish to get to Brum than it is for the Glasweigans if they get Craig McEwan. Lee has a much larger fan base in terms of viewers gained also.

Macklins not a big ticket seller and your gonna get max 2000 over from ireland. the fight belongs in a stadium anyways.

I think either would be good but with Lee due to fight the night before he should just cancel it (pending Macklins agreement). It would be a classic boxer v brawler (well I admit Macklin has skills too) but it would be a brilliant fight I guarantee you. Not sure if McEwan would be ready as he probably hasnt planned for the dates the same way Lee has. That said, I won't complain if it is McEwan either. Please not Belghecam again though.

If Lee V Macklin were to happen it should be on RTE not on a Sky Sports ppv card. I can't see Lee taking this fight on such short notice and with Barker out there's no belt on the line so what's the point?

Actually you are right. It would be a waste. That would fill out the O2 in Dublin for sure. I just want to see it so bad at this stage! :D

I agree about RTE thing but it probably wont happen. The 3 reasons why it could happen are

1> Lee and Macklin are not afraid to fight each other and both want it.
2> Both men have been let down before with previous big fights that were supposed to happen
3> Lee is on standby to fight Sturm if Lorenzo pulls out so why wouldnt he take the Macklin fight at short notice if he is willing to take the Sturm fight at short notice.

Do you believe he is genuinely injured? I'd have my doubts (if he has actually dropped out).

Maybe we shouldn't be getting carried away just yet, this could all be bollocks. I hope it is anyways.
