He's the one that got me back into it in a serious way, back when he was a jr. FW. He landed such vicious body shots I was waiting for his hand to come out the other side and rip out a guy's spine. He was crazy good in those days.
i remember i was 9 i watched in the morning after match of the day the replay from the morning of morales barrera 1 i still remember how i felt watching these 2 just go at it for 12 rounds and was amazed and it made me want to be a fighter can still watch that fight every day and not get bored
Barrera is a great fighter but sh!t when thing is not going his way he's dirty as F. Barrera probably have like a good highlight of his dirty tactic.
He gets mean sometimes, can't deny it. It's just part of his makeup, he gets off his head in the ring from time to time. Lot of pressure in there.
1 of the best fighters of all time beneath LW... I always prefered Morales but Barrera was just as great (or slightly less)
Thought you'd all appreciate this. Barrera was indeed a beast, and among the most exciting fighters in the world at time. I think he can become more polished and harder hit at Featherweight, but he was rapid at 122lbs.
i was taught do whatever it takes to win and barrera did that id rather be the guy who won the fight than the guy who lost complainin about dirty tactics after the fight
Not much of a MAB fan but thats pretty impressive. Young MAB seems to be alot like Pac albeit with less explosion. Can throw combos with power with both hands.
Barrera was just a ****ing animal at 122...Dude had a ****ing killer instinct...Once he got you hurt he'd go after you like a derranged schizophrenic without his meds :good Then turned into a master boxer...What a beautiful fighter :good
