Roach was asked which of the past fights were the toughest for Manny, and he answered Marquez, Morales, and probably Hatton was top 3. They did have trouble with JMM and EM, and they know that Hatton's gonna be a tough opponent too. Barrera's a legendary fighter, but Manny won twice vs. Barrera, one by TKO. That doesnt mean Barrera sucks in their opinion. It just means they had a tougher time against other opponents.
The fact that he struggled with glass-jawed journeyman Sammy Ventura? And that he struggled with that 1-9 fighter? He's finished. He's not world class at all. He's never getting any where close to a title at 135.
I'm not a Barrera "nuthugger" at all, but in that fight held in Macau, he was playing around with that Sammy Ventura guy like a cat plays around with a dead mouse. It was worse than a sparring session. He could have KO'd the guy easily, if he wanted to.
