Fair point. I can't talk to you about which one of them was one the most talented, though. Saying Barrera was the least is almost as bad as telling me that Gatti was one of the best Junior Welterweights of the last 30 years. The opinion only exists because you haven't seen enough footage of Barrera at his best, much like only someone would rate Gatti that high not having seen many of his fights. We shall agree to disagree.
I have'nt seen enough footage of MAB? I've done better than that, I've actually virtually seen just about everyone of his title fights, and then some..... I live in Los Angeles, and in the early 90's, MAB was a mainstay being promoted by forum boxing and fighting at the Great Wdestern Forum, just 10 minutes from where I live...... I've seen and followed MAB's career from when he was just an up and coming prospect fighting as a superflyweight before his title winning efforts. My friend, I've been an avid fan of boxing starting in the very early 80's......believe me, I'm well aware of MAB's caliber and trajectory. How long have you followed MAB?
Btw, rating MAB below Marquez and Morales is not a knock on MAB.....he's certainly not far behind imo and I still view MAB as a great fighter regardless.:good
It's a knock on Barrera as far as I'm concerned. Morales has his strength, but being more talented than Marco is not one of them. Barrera has the better punch variety, the better hand speed, the better combination's, and the better defense. Marco is the more talented of the three, with Marquez coming in a close second.
