of course. I just feel this thread is being derogatry (spelling?) to British fighters. Of course there's a massive gulf in talent between World and European level, but Barrera was not infallible himself.

Hamed was CLEARLY unmotivated and past prime, I don't care what anyone says. REGARDLESS, the tactics Barrera employed in that fight probably would've been enough to beffudle and beat 'Prime' Naz, though I have no doubt it would've been more competitive (had the actual fight 117-111 to Barrera I believe, where there any deductions? Anyways, gave Naz 3 rounds)

Thats why we have terms like domestic level, european level and world level....because there are gulfs.

Paul Lloyd was a Euro level fighter who MAB made a succesful defence against, some challengers are marking time fights or cannon fodder for superior champions. Its hardly a British "problem".

I called the thread "Barrera showing us brits" because it was the first time he'd ever fought in England, and he destroyed one of our best domestic level fighters at the time inside a round. Nothing derogatory about it, Fleaman.

If the likes of Kelley and Sanchez are knocking prime Hamed down multiple times, Barrera was always going to win comfortably. No version of Hamed beats Marco in my estimation, the moment Marco countered Hamed in the first round, Naz was afraid to let his hands go for the rest of the fight because he knew Barrera was always one step ahead.

Naz wasn't a bum, he just wasn't in Barrera's class...who is a 1st ballot Hall of famer, and a top 70 ATG (in my judgment, at least).

Why is that KO any more suspect than any other? Paul Lloyd was just outmatched.

its not im just saying. Id love for Barrera not to have used any type of illegal wrapping (i.e too much tape) but he prob did throughout his career.

FrochPascal there is only one person who has ever claimed that Marco Antonio Barrera used illegal hand wraps and that's Freddie Roach, who's got a quote for every day of the week. Over 2 decades, and not once has Marco been caught with anything illegal. You're insulting your own intelligence if you put stock in what Roach said. If Roach was so adamant that Marco tried to kill his star pupil by wearing illegal handwraps, why didn't this go any further and why wasn't Marco disciplined. Keep in mind, I know the answer.

Smarten up, you're hurting your own credibility with this ****.

This result was expected. Lloyd's chin was fine china & defense non existant, tho he was actually a decent fighter when he could get thru the first few rds.

No, you smarten up Addie. You do know Margarito was caught cheating only once. So your gonna tell me it was only that one time he tried it? ..please

Look, I hope Barrera wasnt really cheating. I love watching him. Im pretty confident he wasnt actually plastering though like Margarito

...There's no hope for you and your limited brain. We're all supposed to believe Marco Antonio Barrera was cheating with illegal hand wraps for 20 years because Freddie Roach said so? You're either as dumb as I've been insinuating, or you're a Pacquiao nuthugger and believe the joke coach's words to be gospel because he got a few predictions right. In any event, smarten up.
