It should still be a good fight, and indeed a good event as most of Bellator's are.

The featherweight tournament semi-finals feature veterans of DREAM and EliteXC.

Airing live on Fox Sports Net at 8pm EST! :good

Joe Warren is a master wrestler, and about as strong as a human being can be at 145 pounds - but he knows literally nothing about jiu-jitsu. That needs to change if he wants to find success in MMA. I know he's only doing it part-time and wants to compete in the next Olympics in Greco-Roman, but sooner or later he will get submitted (even though he's made some of the most jaw-dropping "how the **** did he do that?" type escapes seen in the sport in years...maybe ever...)

He's really a lot like a miniature Couture with his style. Wrestler, punch, wrestle, punch, deny sub with brute force, wrestle, punch, deny sub...

Just as applying or defending against submissions (in a technical, orthodox sense) is a major hole in Warren's game, Wilson Reis is someone who can be castrated if you don't allow him to get into his BJJ - his striking is horrible.

Pitbull Freire, in contrast, is just incredibly well-rounded - the Chutebox background (Big Nog working his corner), excellent TDD (crazy balance!), flying knees, the effortless belly-to-belly suplex, a little sweet science...stylistically, he's the closest I've seen to Jose Aldo at FW - but obviously a bit less explosive.

Freire should be a favorite over Warren, but of course you can't count Warren out with his strength, determination, top-level wrestling base and stamina.

It will be a fun ride to see who winds up moving on to challenge Joe Soto for the title.

    :yep

Silva substituted himself for that honor. Lombard is terrifying. :scaredas: The first two punches he threw, landed - and goodnight.

    Six second KO.

Any news on if he still wants to fight Henderson?
