It was brought up on Buncey's boxing hour but Bellew did not mention it as he did not want to use it as an excuse.

Bellew also said he thought the fight was a draw and he wants a rematch. I feel Clev won that fight Tony, but only just. Just forget about it, move on. I wanted you to win this fight so bad but at the end of it I would have been dissapointed if your hand was raised. Sounds contradictory but what I mean is, too many people would have been saying Cleverly was robbed and you did not deserve the result. Not getting the decision was the best thing for you. Forget the rematch for now. Get a world title and then have the rematch. I for one would not want to see a rematch so soon. I don't think Cleverly would be too keen either, but what do I now.

    Yip.

Just noticed the 'get a world title and then have the rematch', bit.
This is what i said on here last night, Clev is too good for Bellew, Bellew needs to go his own way and then get a rematch down the line, although Clev will win again.

So Tony with a broken hand and Nathan with his cracked rib.
Mad stuff - not a word before or after the fight. That's even better.

    Adios.

Cleverly to good for Tony did u not watch the fight not a lot in it I had Tony by around tbh if bellew would of kept on his jab an when he came out of throwing his shots with a high guard or slip or roll I feel the fight would of been won even though Tony is older I feel he will learn more from that fight

Am inclined to agree, he certainly through far less jabs in the second half of the fight. And Nathan seemed to struggle with his double jab throughout the fight. He was at his best when he was economical and picked his shots of the jab.

Bellew definitely deserves a rematch. To say he should "get a world title and then have the rematch" is unfair and unrealistic.

Or he could just be handed a belt like Cleverly was :deal

What surprised me is that Tony outboxed him even though Cleverly is suppose to be the better pure boxer'. I gave tony 3 of the first 4 when he was sticking behind his jab.

Cleverly has never once been handed a belt! Even though he fought for the vaccant British, vaccant Commonwealth, vaccant European, AND vaccant WBO World title!

    This is correct.

So is this. Maybe thats what he meant when he said he didn't listen to everything his corner had to say to him. He was bossing the fight when he stayed behind his jab.

I had it 114-114 by the way.
