Bellew intends to "masterclass" Makabu

Bellew is bringing his track shoes to this one. All the warrior talk will be forgotten when the bell rings because he will start his marathon immediately. Lets hope Makabu chins him and he retires.

 

He'll need to box the fight of his life to have any chance of winning this one. Track shoes are a must, any notion of Bellew standing and trading with Makabu and it's all over in my opinion.

 

Makabu goes about his work nicely. Superb head movement and defensive work when he's getting inside.

 

Bellew doesn't hit half as hard as all the hype. Makabu will be the puncher

 

It won't be a shoot out anyway. Bellew will crumble when he gets hit like he did vs Stevenson. Talk a big game and then go running all night.

Bellew will want and have to keep this one long, behind the jab then whipping in the right hand when the opportunity presents itself.

 

With these tactics Bellew is talking about the casuals will hate it. Probably be even more boos coming from the Gladys like throughout the footy season.

 

Maybe but Bellew will do what he needs to do to get his hands on that belt.

The Everton crowd will support him, I think they will forgive him so long as he wins.

I feel for the Evertonians, a season of utter cobblers and the real possibility of Bellew jabbing and boring his way to a world title :verysad

 

If Bellew fights on the back foot and wins then happy days. It's not about entertaining the crowd with a brawl. It's Bellews last chance. Win a world title in front of his home crowd. If he does that everyone goes home happy. If he goes to war and gets knocked out its the end for him. I've not seen makubu but the way you lot are talking he gets knocked out anyway.

 

He has claimed he's willing to do anything to win, again... So he will probably run for half the fight then tap out once he's clipped.

 

This is the main thing about Bellew which grates on people: when he talks big, saying how much he enjoys administering "nasty knockouts", and saying he is going to "destroy" his opponent ... only to labour and fiddle his way to a dreary decision win. :-(
