Bellew Rips Cleverly's Recent Opponents To Shreds

You weren't doing too badly until you got to this part. There's no way Cleverly took eight rounds of that fight.

He was probably manipulated by Allegedly into doing it.

It got him what he wanted after all.

I don't recall anyone seriously believing the fight would happen, especially considering the publicity his little cameo generated.

 

I agree, you won't find me saying anywhere that Bellew deserved the fight. But it did turn out to be a good, competitive fight which is more than can be said for his other defences so far.

i don't think he deserves a rematch necessarily, but what a lot of people have said is that a rematch would have been a better fight than Karpency/Krasniqi which is fair enough

 

Theres nothing to say Kransqui won't give Bellew an equally tough fight. Theres nothing on Bellews resume prior to the Cleverly fight that tops what Kransqui has done.

He has only made 1 other defence.

All of Cleverlys world title defences have been agaisnt guys that didnt deserve world title fights, including Bellew who only got the fight because he has a loud mouth and was with the same promoter.

If Robert Knansqui shows up to the press confrence and puts the nut on Cleverly will everyone go ape **** and think its a good fight?

If you were Bellew your better of improving over 4-5 fights and then taking the rematch anyway. he lost the fight in the final 2 rounds i has it 5-5 until then. go away, prove yourself and make yourself clevs mandatory.

all off a sudden he is slagging of Fwank when last year he was the best promoter in the world. he got him a world title fight against his biggest rival in his home town when he was coming of 2 **** performances and a boring fight.

 

Bellew has said himself he wanted the fight and that he lied to dean powell about being ready.

the second part is pretty much right. if hes not being paid though, he was used to fill the echo

 

he must have been paid by now. the fight was 6 months ago? if he hasn't we would no for sure. and if he has signed a contract the allowd him to not get paid....thats his fault and he cannot ***** about it.

have checked back and had it 7-5 with clev winning the last 2. still some of the 5 for bellew could have gone to clev, and could some of the 7 go to TB.

No he never deserved the fight with cleverly but on what we know from that fight a rematch would be.

On to pulling him up a BS yeah fair enough just be consistent it just seems to be a soon as him or Gavin post your on them...I dare say a reason they post less now although not just down to you.

 

yeh i would do the same but i would expect to get stick over it after and take in on the chin. and if i had been given a title shot when i didnt deserve on in my hometown agasint a guy i has been calling out for 3 years and lost i would keep my mouth shut and work my way back to become his mando.

Absolutley not the case. I am consitent. others are not. they slag of all fighters but when Gavin and Bellew come on the kiss there ass.

Also I questioned Gavins dedication to the sport and conditioning. i get slagged off. 6 months later Gavin is posting about beans on toast.

 

I'm a massive Clev fan ad regs know. But his reign is going to be poor ala Nelson and Calzaghe. Why bother fighting poor fighters when the Bellew fight can be made.

Tony I know you got my pm and responded back, I didn't like you at all cos of your mouth but you won another fan in me that night at the echo. I had it Cleverly by 2 and you could of won it had you stuck behind the jab.

Clev is fighting who hes being told to fight he aint hand picking these opponents himself believe me but steve bayliss was on talksport and made a good point that clev is keeping busy whilst hes waiting for the Hopkins unifcation bout to come off.

 

Bellew gets so much stick and i dont understand why i know he started trouble at that clev press conference but clev threatened to take him outside lol how did u expect someone with that background and upbringing to react?
At least Bellew loves the sport and is passionate about what he does unlike a few others we could name aye? I honestly believe if Bellew gets a world title he will have an exciting reign and be involved in great fights i also believe once he gets the gold he will defend againts anyone.

They've no intention of ever sticking him in with Hopkins. Anyone who believes that should be ashamed at their own stupidity.

Hell, if they were surely they'd be best looking at opponents who in some way resemble Bernard.

Not that anyone really does, but a few opponents carry similar attributes. Bellew for instance - tall, economical footwork and can throw short punches well.

We simply don't know whether Krasniqi will provide a good fight or not.

Cleverly (and his promoter) should at least be commended for keeping busy.

 

the onyl thing you can compare hopkins and belliew is that tony doesnt shup the **** up.

 

**** poor oppo and what makes it disappointing is fact there's better level guys with decent records who could test him a fair bit more and Nathan would still be favorite to win. There looking to cash in Clev as much as they can, i think they know he won't last to long @ highest level. Even Burns has fought 2 world/fringe class fighters...
