I will say strictly the hype since going into the first Haye fight; yes. The way people value, rank, and think of him at HW is laughable and a con well done onto the Brits. If you rank Bellew in your HW top 10, you're precisely who I am speaking of.

Guys, come on. This is a guy who came in with low expectation. He didn’t have the backing or promotion, or being rated highly by pundits. Cleverly had a much higher expectation and look how he’s fared since their first fight. Is he a very good fighter? Who knows, but he does unravel and show us some good sides of him.

You have a point. However, even Tony himself doesn't think he's as good as some of his fans do. He just goes out there and tries his best, and he (or his team) were smart enough to figure out that Haye was shot before everyone else.

Makabu was very good. He'd just come off a brutal KO win over Mchunu, who'd schooled Chambers. Bellew was expected to be steamrolled by him. His win was a huge upset, and deserving of respect.

Yeah, I respect that about him. He's brutally honest most times, though like all fighters he likes to be self-aggrandising when it's in his better interests.
