He's dead at the weight mate isn't her, but his "YES MEN" who surround him are ether not educated enough, or just hangers on. I have been saying for years that he is dead at the weight, fair-play he might lose at CW but..? at-least he won't be loosing because he is dead at the weight! The CW division is a better division in my opinion and has huge untapped potential.
If he talks **** already and tries to be though Huck would knock him out at the weigh in instead in the boxing ring:deal
Technically there is nothing wrong with Bellew, he is just slow as **** and punches under water. Maybe if he was not dead at the weight, his punches would have more snap and in every single physical skill department he would improve! Speed, Stamina, Power, Strength etc... He just looks ill at 175. I have been saying this for YEARS! YEARS!
I have been right for years. Sad thing is..? Boxers don't even know what being weight drained is. They think having to lose 20 pounds to fight is normal.
And yet he could have a close fight with Cleverly... What does this tell us about Cleverly... having a close fight with a drained fighter:think His team knows bette than we do whats best for Bellew. They know if he is drained or not! They know if he would be much better at CW or not. Bellew is an average boxer technically. It was horrible how badly he missed many times against Chilemba! This cost you so much energy! No wonder he got tired! His team know much more than we do... and they will know if Bellew is too drained for the weight or not. Bellew wont go to CW and this is better for him!
It is normal these days with 24 hour weigh ins. Otherwise you enter the ring getting outweighed by a stone and a half.
Cleverly came to Liverpool, and fought the exact fight Tony Bellew wanted. Tony Bellew before the fight was saying.. "Don't run, don't run".. Cleverly did not run, and broke him down. Bellew could not cope with the pace in the later rounds.... Cleverly could of in my opinion out boxed Bellew, and used his superior speed and athleticism but he chose a different game plan. Bellew was dead at the weight, and it was one of the reason why he was beaten.
Cleverly punched bellew in the balls about 10 times, thats what slowed him down yet 99 percent of people still thought Bellew won. Even the welsh lads I know who went thought Bellew had won it. I dont disagree with you on him moving up as I think he would be healthier and stronger at CW and has the technical ability to beat most of the division, however saying the cleverly fight shows he is drained is bollocks.
Bellew didn't impressed me. I didn't know him before but his acting during the staredown made me making prejudices against him and I was right after the Chalemba fight. Huck win by K.O in round 7!
You are talking about Bellews technical abilities... yet I saw nothing special in him. Nothing really outstanding! He wont beat most of the division at CW thats just wrong in my opinion.. I really cant see how.
Stop making excuses man, Cleverly fought the fight Bellew wanted! and Cleverly beat him at his own game! In his own back yard! It was a good fight and Bellew put in a great effort! The rematch would end via TKO for Cleverly! Because i think the making 175 is having a accumulative affect on Bellew.
