Was thinking this would be a gr8 match up. David Price suggested it saying Bellew would beat him, I agree. Now I have looked at WBA rankings no sign of Bellew but BJ Flores is number 6 at HW, which is shocking. Could Hearn get Bellew high in rankings and get him to fight Povetkin as AJs mandatory. Now this would help AJ as if he fights Wilder, Hearn could get fight between Bellew and Povetkin as interim championship and if Bellew beats him he can vacate, as obviously he doesn't want to fight AJ. Few hurdles would need jumped but stylewise, sizewise this match up would be a cracker.

A true bomber and warrior would get in there with a fighter exactly the same weight named Deontay Wilder.

However the bummer will continue his pursuit of non elite fighters avoiding Wilder, Usyk, Gassiev while screaming how great he is.

Boxing fans know the truth but the PPV mugs are too thick to see through it.

Povetkin would beat Bellew. I’d rather Bellew-Ward. I think it’s an intriguing fight. Safer for Bellew as well.

I’d say Povetkin is the most dangerous person to have a 50/50 slug fest with and its inevitable with Bellew that he will get into a swinging war at some point and Povetkin holds as good a hook as Bellew does but will take a better shot imo.

It would never happen but Bellew would be a nightmare for AJ cos as Bellew said after the fight he could read the big punches from Haye coming towards him and I think he would read AJs too. Totally bizarre me even saying this but honestly he would be AJ biggest nightmare!

I think Bellew would come short against the much taller bigger fighter however.

He should have fought Parker whilst Parker still had a belt as that would have been up his street.

If he could make weight he should give the Cruiser a final bash!

Parker would knock him out and Joshua and Povetkin would be a stretcher job.

I think Povetkin would KO Bellew Bellew should retire he’s not a proper heavyweight and the Super 6 Winner or Ward would beat him he should leave a winner

He would have made more money fighting and winning the WBSS but by avoiding the tournament completely (and inevitable first round loss) he has put himself in an even better (financial) position.

He can now activate his WBC 'Emeritus' status for a final Hurah against the WBSS winner (he has somehow managed to completely avoid the tournament while also getting in a position that the winner must face him to legitimise themselves) and he also has several Heavyweight options. Great work from Eddie and the backroom team. Matchroom polishing at it's best.

Prime Povetkin yes, this older clean version Bellew would have a good chance against.

Hearn has said he wouldn't put Bellew in with a Heavyweight who can punch, he has said it a number of times and he has said it for a reason.

And this new love Bellew is getting way out of hand, he beat a 37 year old, way past his best, constantly injured David Haye.

    perspective.

Cant see Povetkin even considering this while the big money AJ fight is on the horizon - but you never know.

I know Bellow had a good win against a pretty much shot fighter (who decided he would trade after 2 rounds of jabbing ok) but Povetkin hits a fair bit harder, is quicker and his body is still in pretty good condition..

Plus given Povetkin took a big shot off Pricey which didn't put him to the canvas then what hope would Bellow have???

I'd be surprised if Bellew took this fight, given how outspoken he has been about PED cheats. Think he said recently, if he ever found out someone he fought against was doping, he'd be going round there with a baseball bat.

But, Povetkin may well be clean now, so maybe Bellew would be able to find a place in his heart to forgive Povetkin's past "indiscretions"... especially if the cheque were big enough.
