He would have had mixed results in the UFC.. A lot of the top tier stars from rival promotions like Pride, Dream, Bellator, Elitexc, strikefore ect, didnt deliver with the hype they carried into the grandaddy of MIXED MARTIAL ARTS!!. Askren would have been no different. A good talent nevertheless, just would have came up short against the elite of the elite in the UFC.

Who in the F.U.C would have given him L's and provide several names because "mixed results" means multiple losses usually in line with number of wins. Reasons other then fighters out of different orgs fell short is not evidence for Askren doing the same.

Shields, Condit, Mcdonald would have beaten him and of the current UFC GSP, Woodley, Maia,Dos Anjos ,Masvidal theres others who would have a good chance like Thompson and Lawler to name a few

    Hahahaha....

You forgot Kyle Noke the ghost of Chopper Reed and Bindi Irwin.

I see you steadfastly refused to take my advice on what to do with that Taipan.

Edit: A Taipan is a deadly venomous snake that occurs near D-B-scared that I keep suggesting he interact with in a very special way.

Askren doesn't have a good standup, his strengths is getting it down to the ground to utilize his ground and pound. That' no secret, plenty of fighters in the UFC at 170 can strike and have good takedown defense, while others are good on the ground and can put you in a finger lock and tap your ass out.. I can mention some names like, Woodley who' very strong and can muscle you around the ring with little effort and can put your damn lights out as well.. the Diaz brothers are still there and are some of the best technical strikers in mma who would love to take it to the ground which is their playground. Damian Maia is another guy who' dangerous on the ground... I don't need to go into it further you get the point ***** boy! My whole point is was that the UFC is where the big boys play, now go back to the lounge and make a thread on how I just whooped your ass!

You have no eye for talent and are just a Dana White water boy. Askren works with excellent coaches who specialize in MMA striking which is why he can neutralize strikers and operate from positions that best suit his style which how smart fighters operate. Your word on grappling means nothing because you know nothing about it and have have no experience with it as your post indicates.

Woodley struggled and lost to Shields who has zero striking. Maia was able to shoot constantly against Woodley and last the distance but he didn't have the wrestling pedigree to complete the takedowns(the times he came close Woodley grabbed the fence illegally) Maia also has zero striking, why didn't Woodley take him out? Askren unlike Maia has elite wrestling pedigree and is just as relentless in his pursuit if not more so. Woodley would have to blow Askren out early or else his **** cardio would come back to haunt him down the stretch. The Diaz brothers are a non-factor at Welterweight at this stage lol....... Why come in here if you don't actually follow the sport actively?

Woodley lost to shields, when? 2013 Lol... how many years ago was that scuba fury? Woodley has improved immensely since those days. Woodley did what he had to do to win that fight against Maia it wasn' pretty but he won, but because he didn't KO Maia that means he can't do it to Askren? Who knows but not all chins are the same..lolololololololol...lolololololol... Anyways the Diaz brothers are still there, they just have to let Dana white know when and who they want to fight and it' a done deal... Askren would win some but he'd definitely lose that 0 if he ever decided to fight in the UFC. unfortunately well never know, but the gap in compeition is wide when you factor in the talent pool the UFC still has compared to organizations askren competed in.

Woodley hasn't really improved much in the last 3-4 years... He was a top 5ish guy back then as well. He's the same power wrestler who's maybe tightened up a bit on his boxing and kickboxing really... But essentially the same fighter. He won yeah, but extremely unimpressive against a guy who was tailor made and most expected to be blown out in a round or two. Woodley has been far from unbeatable since winning the belt. Askren would have a very good shot at beating him providing he didn't get KO'd early(obviously not a given) There's more depth in the UFC for sure, but Bellator and WSOF still have elite fighters and some underrated divisions. Askrens resume obviously isn't very good. But H2H he matches up pretty well against the UFC's best. It's how he's looked in terms of eye test(basing this on his wins over consensus top 10-15 guys in Lima and Koreshkov) he absolutely toyed them. The only guys I'd hesitate to pick him against would be Woodley and Thompson.....

Again... Diaz bro's aren't relevant at Welterweight. Whether they want to come back to make a quick buck and the UFC wants to continue their habit of putting on freakshows isn't indicative of their H2H ability at the weight currently. But rather their drawing power....

We'll never know how good he was. Never. There's been a lot of fighters who looked dominant up until the level increased.

Many swore blind that Kerr would be the goat, but then look what Igor did to him.

Gotta be frustrating knowing your the best 170 pounder in the world but the ufc won’t sign you cuz they know your so good you will lock up the belt for 5 years. Askrens fights are so one sided people find them boring.

You are overrating gsp right now. More like askren beats him 9/10 right now.

I've never been a fan of GSP or Askren but respect what GSP has done in the sport and who hes been able to beat over a sustained period.I would have assumed UTF would have known better then to agree with your quite frankly ridiculous statement about Askren beating GSP even half the time they have fought let alone 9/10 LOL. You guys can have whatever opinion you want but you are clearly wrong and have zero evidence to back it up while GSPs resume speaks for itself.Until Askren at least fights and defeats a top 10 opponent he will be nothing but a 1 trick pony and at best 1 of the biggest underachievers of all time.

The only part of your statement that was correct is that Askrens fights are boring,of course its going to be 1 sided when you never fight against decent opposition. Askren is 1 of the best wrestlers to compete in MMA but you need to be capable of a bit more to even have a chance against GSP,Askren would struggle to even get a takedown
