Ben Askren is calling it a day.

Gsp hasn’t fought a live body in 5 years. Askren grabs that wrist and the fight is over.

 

You act like this is some prime vs prime fantasy match. I’m talking right now. Gsp was gassing vs bisbing. You hear Dana saying he wanted gsp to fight whitaker....lol. That fight will never happen because Whitaker would kill gsp.

 

Askren beats Woodley easy. Woodley would never accept the fight. He would gas on those peds and askren would just be coasting on top and grinding. Their are way to many people online that don’t know **** about mma or boxing and just say the stupidest ****. They don’t understand what styles match up with others and what styles don’t or that it’s all a business and people do as they are told in mma. That’s a fact.

Sure GSP might not be in his prime and I also would favour Whitaker if/when that fight gets made but I don't think Askren is at his best either but he would probably have a better chance if they fought now compared to before GSP retired previously

 

Woodley has the best takedown defence I believe in the Welterweight division and would beat Askren fairly easily and while his stand up has gotten better it wouldn't be enough to cause Woodley much problems at all.You talk about people online not knowing **** about MMA or boxing and saying stupid **** yet your the 1 who says Askren beats GSP 9/10 which is a complete joke

 

OMG We have had this discussion when you tried calling them top 10 fighters which they were not when Askren beat them 4-5 years ago, while Lima is now Top 10 and should be in the UFC you saying only 2-3 people would beat him or Koreshkov is more stupid then elmidato saying Askren beats GSP 9/10.

 

They were good wins and easily the best in his whole career but they were also over 4 years ago and my initial response was to the guy saying GSP hasn't fought a live body in 5 years which is wrong and laughable when comparing him to Askren whós only decent wins EVER were just as long ago.
