Canelo can't send an offer, it must come from PbC. The fight was supposed to be promoted by PBC. Part of PBCs deal with Canelo was that he receives a 35 mil guarantee.

PBC was unable to keep their side of the deal.

Now that Canelo is a free agent again, he can work with Matchroom and they might be willing to co-promote the fight with PBC and they do have the money to make the fight.

 

Let's see if he attempts it after Munguia then, because the "the fight may never happen, he doesn't have to fight him" crap coming from Reynoso is not a good sign

 

I don't know many different ways Canelo's team can tell the world that they are not interested in fighting David Benavidez...

The Nail is a difficult fight for Benavides even at the age of 33. This is no gimme.

As I said: He shouldn't be waiting forever, it's already too long. If Canelo won't face him next then Benavidez moves up and tries forcing a title shot at LHW. Fair play to him.

You further prove my point, Beterbiev v Bivol took far too long to make. Lomachenko v Garcia never did. This is why as fans we should call this behaviour out. We shouldn't have to wait this long for the best to fight each other.

 

Take it up with Al Haymon. PBC clearly doesn't have the money to put up for the guarantee.

So how is that Canelo's fault?

 

Here's the problem, again, you're too Canelo centric.

This time next year I'll again be asking the top two SMWs to fight each other. I repeatedly do so in every weight class.

You care about Canelo, I care about the best fighting each other.

You aren't bothered who Canelo fights, you just want to see him fight.

 

What Reynoso meant to say was.....we aren't going to fight Benavidez until next months supply of clenbuterol comes in. That will give Canelo the strength he needs to save the day.

It would be a shame if the fight never happens. Even if Canelo loses, as long he goes down fighting he'll still walk out a winner as far as pockets and legacy are concerned, which is seemingly what he cares most about anyhow.

 

If you're being honest with yourself, Benavidez isn't even a Hall of Famer.

 

Where were you when Plant, Smith, Benavidez, and Saunders weren't fighting each other?

Where were you the last seven years when Bivol-Beterbiev weren't fighting each other?

Where were you when Golovkin refused to fight Derevyanchenko and got stripped?

 

No it's not. An opinion is something you can agree or disagree with & it's subjective. You claimed something happened. I asked you to prove the claim you made is true. You would done so by now if you could. So no integrity it is. End

If Canelo beats Benavidez I'll be asking him to fight his next number contender also.
