How has Gvozdyk looked in his comeback? If he can be close to what he was earlier in his career then he has a good chance of winning.

Does he want the fight or not? Apparently not. Canelo was told he has to fight Benavidez this year, and Benavidez decides to move up to 175 to campaign at 175? This makes no logical sense if he wants the Canelo fight. Why would Benavidez be fed up now? He was just informed that Canelo has to fight him this year. He's now in position to fight for Undisputed, and what does he do. Move up to 175 to campaign there. What?

He's campaigned there for years and Canelo hasn't shown the slightest interest in fighting him.

Good for him making the move.

Duck by Canelo fully confirmed now.

Nobody informed him Canelo has to fight him this year. Suliman was just talking word salad nonsense and refusing to say anything concrete. He was obviously informed Canelo DOES not want to fight him this year, because as you said it would make no logical sense to move up and lose the biggest fight in the sport that every fighter wants. Unless you are now trying to suggest Benavidez is the one ducking Canelo? lol!

That's why this doesn't make any sense. If he's running off to 175 to campaign there then he's lost the ability to ducked at 168. You have to be fighting in the weight class to be considered ducked.

How does that work? Running off to another weight class to campaign there is proof that he's being ducked? You're hilarious. If anything this proves that Benavidez is not serious about challenging Canelo. Because if he was, he would definitely stay at 168.

You are confused. He has already been ducked, and obviously been told that won't change. According to your logic, if he waited another 3 years, never got the canelo fight, and then moved up you would still say he wasn't ducked because he moved up.

If he wants to challenge Canelo, the last thing you would do is move to another weight class. If he wins, then he'll become the mandatory at 175 then he would lose his ranking at 168. If he loses, then he's coming off a loss. This can only hurt the possibility of a Canelo fight this year which is what the boxing world wants.

Another 3 years? David wasn't even eligible to fight at 168 when Canelo became Undisputed. Benavidez lost his title twice, once because of a drug test the second because of failing to make weight. Canelo fought all the Champions to become Undisputed. You become Undisputed while ducking someone. Everything David has done since then has been to put himself into position to fight Canelo, which he earned by beating Plant and Andrade. Now he's in position to get the Canelo fight and what does he do? Moves up to 175 to campaign there? And this is evidence that he's being ducked? Lmao he's literally throwing away his opportunity at the Canelo fight this year, and people are praising this? It makes no sense. We want to see him fight Canelo this year. Him doing this prevents that from happening. He's literally running away from the Canelo fight by moving up.

How does moving up to 175 to become mandatory there help him get the Canelo fight? Isn't that what we want? Or no?

We've gone from wanting to see Canelo Benavidez this year, to praising Benavidez for moving up so the fight everyone wants doesn't happen.

Because in your head this is a new situation, but in everyone else's it's been too long coming.

He has been a top ten SMW for 7 years. For 3 years he's been the best SMW not called Canelo. For 2 years he's been the interim champion.

Canelo has never shown any how not he's going to fight Benavidez and since he owns all the belts Benavidez has no choice but to leave the division.

Too many Canelo fans are happy with a fight marinating for a number of years, but in the boxing world that's far too long and fights should be made sooner rather than later.

This will go down as yet another fight that was marinated too long.

    Duck confirmed.

No he wasn't already ducked. Canelo had until MARCH to agree to fight Benavidez. Last I checked its February 22 in my side of the world.
