If Conor Henn is lying about about cheating as most on here think he is, then he is a full blown sociopath, in a similar vain to Lance Armstrong. The odd's on him not being a cheat IMO are less than 1 %, simply based on his test results and the improvement in his ring performances since the first Peynaud fight and his skill level at that time. I will only be watching him in the future in the hope of seeing him getting knocked out. Although boxing is probably rife with PED's and cheating, especially at the top level, the way Benn is and has gone about proclaiming his innocence, is almost straight out of the Armstrong text book of cheating and doesn't sit well. Eddie Hearn has also proved with the Eubank v Benn debacle that he has no problem selling his soul for a few quid.
People were noticing his weird personality in clips with his girlfriend (not that I've wasted any time watching that). He's a *****. There was that incident where he piped up on uncle Chris Eubank for some minor thing at a press conference as well, which was un-christianly and disrespect to elders.
Honestly if all the criticism and **** taking is effecting him to that extent then get the hell of social media and don’t go on national TV programmes. The first sniff of any adversity and people are playing the mental health card. It’s ridiculous.
Hits the nail on the head. He seems in total disbelief that he's being actually held accountable for something and people aren't just blowing smoke up his arse. It's probably the first time in his entire life he's had anyone question him and he's coming across as completely delusional in his response. He's being terribly advised, but I doubt he's receptive to anything resembling criticism so would probably ignore it regardless. I give Fury the benefit of the doubt with the mental health stuff, as I think it's pretty obvious he's got issues. I do think it's been overplayed though. As for Benn, it's clearly rubbish and he's basically just sulking. He's acting like a spoilt child.
Do you reckon he'd have felt suicidal if his juicing contributed to Chris Algieri getting brain damage? This content is protected
Ironically, watching Piers Morgan with a sit-down interview with Conor Benn is tantamount to self harm.
Don't know too much about Armstrong's background, but it becomes a lot more plausible when you consider Benn's privileged upbringing and clear sense of entitlement. I think he's bought into the 'everyone's doing it' narrative and believes he hasn't done anything particularly wrong. I think Fury fell into the same mindset before he popped. Difference being Fury went quiet and it all seemed to blow over. Doesn't look like it will be the same story with Benn, largely because of how insufferable he has been throughout.
It's not on ITV. It's on at 8PM Sky 522, Virgin 606, Freeview 237, Freesat 217.........or DAZN PPV followed Boy "Bosh, Down the Chippy with Johnny Fisher"
Thought Benn was being grilled for 1 hour and disappointed that he is only getting three rounds in tonight
