Isn’t it written in the rules/conditions of a license that they need to consult the Board of Control if they wish to fight or host any event under any other commission or country?

Given the circumstance with how Benn has acted and the way he has chosen to ignore the investigation then legally the board are well in their rights to take action against anyone involved in colluding with someone who has failed two dope tests and then chosen to discredit the investigation.

The board are playing a dangerous game. The idea that they could sanction or stop a licensed fighter or unlicensed fighter fighting abroad is ridiculous.

Know what else is a dangerous game? Getting in the ring with somebody who's been using performance enhancing drugs. That's the crux of the matter, which you often seem to overlook.

Couldn't agree more, it is a sport and entertainment but the number 1 priority for any promoter, trainer, governing body etc in any sport must be the safety of its participants and a level playing field for all. Once you have lost that you really have lost all respect and credibility.

We also now know that CEJ got sparked by someone coming up in weight who isn't a massive puncher.

He'll still be massively weight drained and Eddie is sticking him in with a fella who's pissed dirty twice.

It's a disgrace, any British license holder involved is bringing the sport into disrepute.

Should I find some old quotes from Eddie Hearn ? There was no limit to what a horrible person Canelo was and even worse were the federations who allowed him to box. He puts other people's lives in danger.... blah blah blah

I totally agree with you, but that credibility disappeared a long time ago. Professional boxing is purely a business.

That decision lies with the relevant governing body and fighter. The BBoC have no right to tell a fighter who he can fight in a region they have no jurisdiction.

A reminder the same BBoC did what exactly to David Haye and Chisora when neither were licenced and fought in the UK under the The Luxembourg Boxing Federation?

It's laughable and just as the The Luxembourg Boxing Federation threatened legal action against the BBoC, Eubank Jr, Benn, Sauderland, Hearn will do exactly the same as its a restriction of trade.
