Hearn said the verdict has been given and they're waiting for legal letters. Benn was seen all smiles at a glove signing do wonder if he got off Wish people would stop saying 'if ukad clear him' if he gets off on a jurisdictional loophole. That's not being cleared
I won't be parting with a cent to see Benn fight anyone, soft opponent or otherwise. But what I do and what other serious boxing fans do may not influence things much because his infamy at being a 2 time drug cheat, whose picture is in the media all the time, will have appeal to the casuals and they will pay to watch him. Hearn knows that and he can't wait to cash in on it. We have seen and heard that for months already.
He has been removed from the WBC's World rankings according to an article just posted on Boxing social
The great thing about the internet is it takes 0.000001 seconds to find Hearn contradicting himself. See below when Saunders failed a test in 2018: Hearn was quoted in an interview slamming Saunders: "I don't need to save money, I wanna put on good fights, so that was a good fight for DAZN, so I'm disappointed. But what is the point in signing up for drug testing if, when you fail, everyone just goes 'oh don't worry about it, just let him fight', you know? Or better still, this pearler 2 weeks before Benn failed his test: Hearn went on-screen to say, "I've got no problem with this fight happening on BT. What I've got a problem with is VADA testing not being in the contract. I can't let my fighter go in with a fighter, off the back of Jean Pascal's failed test, without VADA testing in the contract." .....2 weeks later Benn fails a VADA test but Hearn wants to get him in the ring and starts questioning the validity of VADA in this instance.
