Where did I "make fun" or even "gloat" I didn't, you are inventing things to try and understand it in your own mind. Quote me, show me where I made fun or gloated, didn't happen. I gave my opinions on McClellan and they are what I truly believe. As for "scumbags" well you are saying you "don't care" about a man committing animal cruelty and in my opinion that makes you a scumbag and very strange.
McClellan doesn't deserve to be pardoned for what he did just because he was brain damaged from the Benn fight. Letting pitbulls rip apart a defenceless dog is cowardly. He also purposely ran over flamingos for fun.
:rofl Let's try not sugar coating what you wrote. :nut You searched McClellan's name on wikipedia, looked up the dog fighting incident, and decided it was cute hurling insults at a brain damaged, 48 year old man who has suffered for 2 decades along with his family for an incident he did 25 years ago. You're assuming I'm alright with something as inhumane as dog fighting, but I'm not...never said I was. It's an abhorrently disgusting practice, it should be more punishable by law if I had the choice. I'm really not sure why you keep bringing it up, that seems to be your sole counter argument.
If you don't like the man or the actions that he did in the past then that's fine, I don't like what he did either. My whole problem is kicking a man while he's down, McClellan and his family have more than suffered enough. Nobody deserves what he and his family went through.
Wikipedia? You couldn't be more wrong I was at the Benn Vs McClellan fight, was you? I obviously know more about McClellan than you, the man was a wrong'un, his sister confirmed his animal abuse and apologised on his behalf. You said I made jokes and gloated, I asked you to quote me where I did either of those things and you didn't because you couldn't. I'm not hurling insults at him, I'm telling it straight, the man is a sick cowardly wrong'un for abusing animals but as you said in you last bit you agree it's sick so I'm right about what he is. Just because he suffers now does not change what he did :good
I was at the fight that night.something I will never forget.it shows the terrible risk fighters run for fame and fortune.I think we all need to step back a bit .Gman probably wasn't a very nice person but thousands of others are much worse .I don't believe in carmer stuff just happens as they say.mind how you go.
The outcome was horrid and in a way both men lost their careers that night Ben was never the same following the aftermath of this fight.
Great great fight, very tragic outcome. Don't forget that Benn was given absolutely no chance in this fight, less chance than Brook is being given in the GGG fight in the main forum. Anybody who had a few quid on Benn made some money. The fight was brutal but the Benn knockdown would of been harsh if it was stopped because Benn went through the ropes and was slightly tangled, in fact he was inches away from being off the canvas and getting a 20 sec count anyway. After that was pure spirit and the ref or anyone else could not of for seen what happened. You could blame G Man's trainer because of his blinking and constant playing and spitting of his gumshield but the truth is he had never been taken that deep as all his fights were first round KO's so would of been put down to exhaustion. Manny Stewart had him at the Kronk and said in and out the ring he was "the most violent man I have ever known" [yt]_kNv9YHeEwo[/yt]
I remember watching that fight live when it happened. What an amazing fight it was, probably the most excited I have ever gotten watching a fight, literally jumped out of my seat and was cheering when Benn stopped him. But the aftermath tainted the fight for a long time for me. It was a good decade before I could actually watch that fight again, it was just a horrible outcome. The ref was no doubt poor, your typical Euro ref who was way out of his depth. While Benn was fighting dirty with shots to the back of the head, he was in the fight of his life and I don't think it effected the outcome. GMan had a lot of problems going into the fight the combination of draining weight and going toe to toe twice with the hardest hitter ever in Jackson had already done it's damage. He was complaining of headaches before the fight, his corner were new and incompetent, they couldn't even organise a proper fitting mouth guard. If Benn hadn't of ruined him in that fight someone else would have, it was only a matter of time with McClellan, he had made a lot of bad choices that had already taken him too far by the time he met Benn.
