BTW SBW read your analysis of that independent article good write up that Conlon guy mustn't be a boxing fan. Comparing the Euro title to the inter to-to cup is probably one of the worst things i have ever read. Clearly the guy isn't a boxing fan and thought he would fill a column with a sport not many people in Ireland follow closely. Barry big balls comments after reading it is probably the response the writer was looking for.

Extraordinary reading Bernard (hated Americans pronouncing it BurNARD) Dunne's packed-it-in. Seems like just yesterday I met this quiet skinny kid with a devilish grin at the Wild Card Gym hopin' to make it as a pro.

He was a bone-white stick figure in trunks -- hardly intimidating -- but he had real skills: a stick, could bang, use the entire ring, 'n loved to mix-it-up -- far more than he needed to, 'n wasn't adverse to throwin' an "accidental" elbow or nut punch for payback.

We lived near each other, before he went back to Ireland, (he was always homesick) so I got to know him fairly well. Hard not to like him; he was a Leprechaun.

I'll always think of him as a world champion; it's what he wanted more than anything.

Dunne/Cordoba was THE fight of 2009 for me.......just incredible, Dunne will always have that amazing night and its more than most boxers achieve in a lifetime. He had a very nice skillset and balls the size of coconuts, real shame the chin wasnt there because I reckon we would have had many more great nights out of him if he had a sturdier jaw.

Dunne-Munroe would have been a great little scrap and its a big shame we didnt get to see it but this is clearly the right move for Bernard.....All the best to him

Mike Perez has ****ed off from the sport because he found a fat Irish lass to **** and Egan has stayed am so he can keep just ****ing around with fat lasses. Dunne has had stories about his outside the ring highlighted on here before.
