That is pure bull****. For a 48 year old he is amazingly fast.

Compare a boxers VO2max to a cross country skier or Tour de france winner. Compare a boxer's strength to an olympic weightlifter the same size.
I really don't understand what you are failing to grasp here, boxing doesn't require you to push any aspect of fitness to the limit. You need some endurance, strength and power in combination, pushing any of those things to the limit requires you to abandon the others. Boxing isn't a sport that requires any single aspect of fitness to be pushed to human limits. I really don't know how to make it any more simple for your stupid ass.

The Jones II and Orneales fights are what makes me suspicious. Hopkins looked like a zombie and could hardly manage more than 10 punches a round his stamina was horrible. In the Pascal and Cloud fights it wasn't just styles, Hopkins was capable of throwing combinations and had a workrate that he wasn't capable of a couple years before. You don't improve your stamina like that as you age and it wasnt a case of Bernard being out of shape in those other fights as we all know how dedicated he is. I wouldn't be suprised if he was taking HGH or something like that.

Not at all, he knows the quickest way from point A to B, he knows how to get there and when to get there. It's his timing that makes him appear fast, he's slow as ****.

I respect your opinion on boxing but HGH has no benefits for anything apart from some studies showing a slight increase in lean mass and lower body fat. When it comes to athletic performance and strength performance it's been shown repeatedly to have NO benefits. It's also been shown to decrease endurance performance. People need to stick to talking about what they know about.

Is Duran a backfoot counter puncher? Exactly. You can see how painfully slow Hopkins is when ever he tries to get aggressive.

Soon Hopkins fans will be saying "yeah, he may be 53, but he used his tactics to beat Kovalev. There's nothing suspicious going on here".

I was absolutely blown away by Hopkin's speed yesterday. He is very, very fast for a 48 year old, regardless of what you say.

Soon ******s are going to be saying "yeah forget about every single variable, the only thing that counts for anything is the number of years to his name, let's forget all about biological age, mastery of skills and make sweeping generalisations that include everyone regardless of how they live". Actually that's already happening but they articulate it more like this: "Hopkins is old he win and take super anti-youth drug, of course you idiots everyone do drugs hey pass me cheeseburger and fries please".

Dude, he's 48, no steroid is that good. As a matter of fact, don't you think PEDs would've deteriorated his body by now?

I don't believe he'd even consider using PEDs, it's against his life philosophy. After he was arrested and jailed, he went back to square one and rededicated his life for mental and physical health. No drinks, no meat, no smoking, no drugs in the past 30 years, every day wake up at 5AM, remind himself of Graterford Pen and the 2nd chance that doesn't work with shortcuts and go on the morning run.

He's probably heading to the gym as we speak. No ****.

When you're more efficient with your movement and you only punch when it's there with good timing then you do appear fast. Watch his body when he's actually throwing punches instead of watching in general, he is slow as someone can be at the top level. He's always punching the shortest distance possible, he doesn't put anything into the shots and often lands as he's falling in just after he has feinted. He is terribly unathletic but highly skilled.

Steroids is not the only PED you troll and wouldn't really help him to improve/keep his stamina which is one of his main assets

EPO or blood doping would be more likely.

It certainly is a possibilty, but the same could be said for every elite level fighter.

There are others who are far more suspicious, like the Klitschko brothers for example.

His declining speed, power, reflexes and stamina do throw up a red flag.
